We face Solihull Moors away tomorrow night in the controversial re-arranged fixture. It's a game which we must win. If we win, then I think Macca should stay in the job at least until Saturday, however if we lose or draw then he should be sacked in my opinion. Come On You Blues! Score: Solihull Moors 0-2 Chester FC (Hannah, Akintunde) Attendance: 1,137 (397 Chester) COYB!

As we're continuing to play Cluesless, Solihull should have a bit more than Torquay. 2-0 Solihull with Macca out the door or expect 1,200 for the next home game...

Always way too optimistic with our followings, Rio.
Solihull 1-2 Chester. Hannah again, and Astles with the winner after another sluggish performance.
Attendance 789 with 231 Chester.

Anyone know much about the area? The ground is down an old country lane with no parking and looking very poor accessibility in terms of walking. I'm tempter to park across the junction further on, at the housing estate, and walk down from there? Any suggestions?

I'll give you one thing Rio ... you're consistent, but I wouldn't trust you with putting a bet on for me, lol. I thought you were going to Torquay? I doubt they'll more than 500 at match and probably less than a 100 Chester fans as most of them (like me) are suffering from "watching shite burnout". I think the best we can hope for is another draw.

Looking at google maps, it would seem difficult around the stadium itself, so anywhere a short walk away would be ideal. If you have a postcode for a street with reasonable parking then even better.

Hi I will post some suggestions/ideas this evening after I finish work. Hoping to drive up from Brighton if I can get work done and away in time to get round M25. Could be tight so any help with parking appreciated. Reckon the postponement is costing Solihull about 10k in lost revenue. Would have been about 700 of us there on opening day - about 100-150 tomorrow.

I expect a win, we haven't lost yet on the road by some divine miracle. I'm going to stick my neck out and say if Hannah is fit to start we will get a result. 1-1 without Hannah, 3-1 if he starts Bell/Hannah and Mahon.

They get generally 500-600 hundred home gate. Yes I agree on the original date with the optimism that comes with a new season we may have brought around 700. Tomorrow I would say about 800 gate as I can't see us bringing any more than 200. Sqzl and agl the ground has its own small car park then as you say street parking isn't great. This is due to the local residents having had enough with the various jaguar Land Rover expansions. The factory entrance is right next to the ground. The streets right next to the roundabout generally have police cones out to stop parking by football match attendants and Land Rover workers. This tends to apply to the first street off Damson parkway and the first two off Damson Lane. That said if you take the fourth left turn off Damson Lane (coming up from the football ground end) not the pub end you will be on luddington road you should notice that there are no cones on that road. That will leave a ten minute walk to the ground. I live around 5 minutes walk from there on Damson Lane itself. There will be space for one car on my drive if that helps anyone? It's around 12 minute walk to the ground about 0.6 of a mile. Hope that helps in some way. Btw if you are looking for food there is a fish and chip shop at the end of Damson Lane opposite the pub if your looking for a pre match meal. The hot dogs and burgers in the ground are reasonable. The rest of the ground is awful!!

I think we'll win this one. God knows why I think that but just a hunch (and not eternal optimism like Rio...)

I've got this crazy feeling that we are going to win tomorrow - 2-0. As Macca is holding onto this game as being the moment when we can all judge our start then I will be interested to see where we stand come 9.45. I assume he believes them to be a team we can actually beat so will be expecting a positive approach.

Solihull have beaten Chester in their last three attempts and I expect another defeat tomorrow. Defence is threadbare and the horrendous squad planning over the summer is starting to take its toll. Need a new CB on loan.
Still at least we are not York City hey Jon?

I went last year and there is plenty of parking at the ground if you get there in reasonable time. As for the result, anything other than a win and Macca has to go. Simple as. He needs to go even if we win really. We have seen shocking form for the whole of this year with no signs of improvement in results or excitement. I am utterly bored of watching the drivel that is being served up which makes it all the more dissatisfying when you see the (on paper excellent) players in our squad. I wouldn't mind losing if we were having a go and looking like we are trying to win a game but parking the bus in the hope of securing a draw is just poor management. He has driven out the excitement to the point that I really wish I hadn't bothered with a season ticket. At least Burr tried to play exciting football. Anyone know much about the area? The ground is down an old country lane with no parking and looking very poor accessibility in terms of walking. I'm tempter to park across the junction further on, at the housing estate, and walk down from there? Any suggestions?
