After McCarthy's sacking on Wednesday, now our attention turns to our match against Ebbsfleet tomorrow, overseen by Tom Shaw, Dave Felgate and Calum McIntyre. It's a great chance for everyone to come down to the ground, support the team throughout and hopefully help us to achieve that win. Although Ebbsfleet are unbeaten, we have quite a decent chance of doing so tomorrow, hopefully with a different style of play. I just have that feeling that we may win at home. Come On You Blues! Score: Chester FC (Hannah) 1-0 Ebbsfleet United Attendance: 1,775 (102 Ebbsfleet) COYB!

Rio, Ive come to the conclusion that you are responsible for our terrible results by constantly predicting us to win. Remove the curse and tip is to lose - you never know it might work.

It'll like turning a liner. I'm afraid our first home win may be a way away. Chester 0 Ebbsfleet 3. 2001.

In all fairness, I was going to predict a 1-2 Ebbsfleet but with a change of manager I feel a little bit optimistic.

Stonking 5-0 win with goals for Chappell 3 and Joyce 2 and each Tim e the ball hits the back of the net they lift their shirts to show a t shirt with a photo of Macca on it and the caption This is for you boss 😂

Given that they've drawn 7 out of 8 games I'm going for a 1-1 draw.

Given that they've drawn 7 out of 8 games I'm going for a 1-1 draw. Was going to predict a loss but with a much improved and positive performance, but after reading that it seems a draw is a dead cert. 1-1, Hannah. Attendance 1838.

Ebbsfleet have some good players in their squad, but also have a number of injuries, so they've done well to still be undefeated.
There have been quite a few teams struggling with injuries that seem to manage quite well.
Our small squad will be our biggest hindrance for sure.

I would hope we might get over 2000 tomorrow. Personally I have not seen us win for some time now and with their long standing unbeaten record wouldn't it be good to end our awful home form against them. That said we need to step up considerably on the shower I witnessed on Tuesday night. Feeling optimistic and hopeful of seeing a much better display 3-2 win.

Not worrying about the opposition, getting in their faces and getting the crowd onside, who knows what could happen. We are the home side! Attendance wise, am not as optimistic as most on here, anything around 1800 is my guess.

Got a good feeling about this one. They will be dreading this game because of the "they've just sacked their manager, we'll beat them!" curse.
3-1 Blues!

[quote source="/post/28979/thread" author=" durdy" timestamp="1504859678" Well if that happens I promise to strip naked and do cartwheels on the pitch[/quote] Surely that's an instant ban or will it be done behind closed doors

It would be an instant ban but I'm that confident that Chapple won't score a hatrick that I'm feeling fairly confident my smalls will remain on

Any danger of the game being off? Torrential rain here in Salford

Any danger of the game being off? Torrential rain here in Salford Wouldn't have thought so. The drainage is quite good on the pitch.

No forcast sun/showers today it's just bucketed down but has now stopped - I could do a pitch inspection of my lawn if you would like

We need points. We would love a win but a point would be a great result as we Will need all we can get if we are to be in this league next season.

I believe Ebbsfleet are undefeated in 30 games off the back of last season and going into today? Could be wrong. Anyway tough game and not expecting much but I do expect commitment and effort from everyone in blue and white. They will know full well that today potential new managers will be watching them.

Get Tom Shaw, Matty Waters and James Jones, into the squad, at the expense of Chappell and Joyce. My team would be:- 1. Lynch 2.Halls 3.Rowe-Turner 4. James 5.McCombe 6. Astle's 7. Shaw 8.Turnbull 9. Hannah 10.Akintude 11.Dawson or Mahon With Crawford, Jones, Matty Waters, Bell and hopefully White, on the bench. Shaw to partner James, in centre midfield and Turnbull on the right. Undecided between Mahon for his ability, but lack of consistence or Dawson, for his goals.
