Saw some positive signs today. Turnbull in front of the defence was immense. He gave 100% and was on his knees at the end. He's going to be an important player. Akintunde when 100% fit is going to be in amongst many goals along with Hannah and Bell.
Came out of the ground very disappointed at not winning which has been a first in 2017. However, if Chester play like that against Maidenhead the win will come.
Only real negative was Waste Joyce. Disgraceful performance and at one point shyed away from the ball which is unforgivable. The only thing he does is point his finger and jog about. Get rid of him asap.

Halls n mccoumbe were rock solid. Halls pace in comparison to astles was so noticeable. His switching with mc was a pleasure to watch. Mitchell in goal was so vocal and it's nice to see a lad in goal who actually looks after himself. Seeing Lynch dick around at half time just confirms to me that this lad is eating his career away. Lynch seems to have put a few pounds on since he signed and could do with losing some weight, same for Astles. Hopefully who ever comes in will improve the fitness levels. Aye, really not trying to be personal but he’s put on a hell of a lot of weight since he joined us just shy of a year ago. I somehow stumbled across a picture of him in action against Macc on his debut for us on twitter the other day and it was really quite noticeable. Tough love comes to mind with him, I actually really like the lad and think he’s a cracking keeper but do think he needs to trim down before he can realistically try and claim that number one spot back permanently.

Anyone else think Mitchell is a liability? Hesistant a few times yesterday and doesn't seem to communicate with his defence, couple of mix ups yesterday. Could cost us.

Wasn't there yesterday but good to hear that things were much improved and that there is hope of us turning this around. The first thing the new manager will want to do with these lot is get them fit. Too many blowing out of their arses or looking overweight. It's unacceptable and has to have some link to the number of injuries we have suffered. Another result of the laxidazical approach of our previous manager. Let's hope that they can nick something from two tough away fixtures and that the new man will be in place to oversee out first home win against Maidenhead.

What a good feeling I had last night, in many respects like 2010. Having suffered a couple of years of stagnation it felt great to have a new, fresh club. Nowhere near as extreme as then I know, but I felt a positive presence yesterday for the first time in a long time. The bad feeling was absent, even when they scored first, and the equaliser was an amazing moment. I've read all the posts and agree and disagree, which is what opinion is all about. The bickering and backstabbing has gone -brilliant. Mitchell was excellent in goal, bearing in mind this is the National league. Nowhere near perfect, but in context Joe Hart played for England a few days ago and he is nowhere near perfect. Tunbull was brilliant in the second half, as was James. Others showed improvement, including LRT getting upfield supporting, and Sheron showed up like a good wing back second half. I could never understand why JM retained Chappell or Joyce. At least Chappell didn't figure, but Joyce was poor, shying out of tackles, except once when a ridiculous challenge should have got him booked. Any of the kids coming through would surely be a better option. There is no development potential in Joyce. Three forwards didn't particularly work, and it looked more comfortable when Hannah came off. Mahon and Dawson were positive additions when they came on. Didn't think we missed Astles, so let's hope he realises this and walks past the pie shop next time. Similarly for Lynch - does he want to be a footballer? Overall, a lot on show for the next manager yesterday, including positives, negatives and the obvious.

Very well deserved point would of been utter devastation and very harsh if we came away with nothing
thought we played well in long spells the hoof ball was wrong only one winner in that situation yesterday was the wind
refreshing to see us play the full 90 if given the chance these lads can play and yesterday they showed that
Joyce will only be an average player at best unless he comes up with some worldies he's bang poor / average
sat behind the dug out Tom Shaw was very vocal all game encouraging his team on lifting players up when we went behind something which has not been seen for a long time
leaving the ground yesterday a positive buzz around the stadium still long way to go but the ship has been steadied

Overall a draw was fair and was good to see us pressuring the opposition for once. Definitely better with two up top and Dawson and mahon made the difference. I thought LRT had a decent game as did halls centre back. Their goal could of been avoided if we closed down quicker, most times that shot would of ended up in the stand but the odd one will fly in at this level but we deserved our goal and hopefully go one further on Tuesday

No way, Mitchell didn't shut up. I was chuckling as he was barking orders relentlessly. He was decent yesterday. Just hope he doesn't get recalled as Heatons just fine his shoulder !

Last season we waltzed into a pub in Chester post game and he had beaten us to the beer. I wouldn't have clicked it was him if he didn't have his chester trackie on. I've said it before, beer and women are a lads priority at that age but not if you strive to be a professional keeper at a decent level.

Didn't think 4-3-3 worked in all honesty and the first half wasn't much different to the rest of the season, but I suppose it was a statement of intent from Shaw that should be commended. Once Hannah went off and Mahon and Dawson came on the game changed and it was really enjoyable to watch.
I can see why he started Joyce because for all of his limitations he can break up play which is what we needed with such an expansive formation. But IMO Dawson can do the dirty side of the game as well as create things so he should have started in that formation, he has been wasteful recently though so it may have been a case of him being "dropped".
Turnbull and James played brilliantly, the best I've seen them since the first half of the Fylde game where I thought they were also brilliant. Nyall Bell has bags of potential, as it stands he'd be my first choice with Akintunde.
Going forward I would stick with 4-4-2, not sure if Mahon is injured but we need him to start performing for 90 minutes and need him back out on the right. We also need a left midfielder to balance the team rather than sticking Dawson out wide because it makes us narrow, if we're going to be expansive I would give Liam Davies a go.

I'd agree thinking back to saturdays game. There was nothing in it really first half. On our 2 nd half showing yes we probably did just about do enough to deserve the 3 points.

I've only seen him in his home debut last season against Woking where he was played out of position at left wing back but still got a goal, and in the friendlies at Runcorn and Alty where he scored two crackers and looked ok. Must admit I wasn't at Aldershot where he had a stinker by all accounts. Not sure Chapell is the answer for the left wing either, we're like 2006-era England!

Has more about him than Davies pace wise but doesn't show it often enough to justify his starting place.

Personal opinion. Don't enjoy going down the deva anymore.. always preferred away games Will never understand why you are willing to give your money to another team. I enjoy going to away games but if it was a choice , no choice chester first better all round day out. going the deva is depressing. no atmosphere.
