I am afraid the fans owned model is failing and unless we play at Evostik level we are unable to sustain the club. Interest is at an all time low on and off the field and fans feel disengaged from the club. Does anyone see a way in which this can reversed ? If we hadn't had the cup run under Burr and sold Sarcevic and Sam Hughes we would probably be in administration by now, those pots of money made the accounts look okay. We have lost money most seasons and are trying to milk the same cash sources time after time. It's sad to say but the people of Chester just don't get behind the club like towns or cities of a comparable size, to only pull in 2000 fans on a good day is poor ! I share your fears about the fan-owned model, but there's little wrong with the club other than we've not had a decent manager since Youngie's resignation. I feel we have a manager capable of taking us forward, but this season the target is survival. Wednesday is immense and a win will get us out of the bottom 4 and give the club a massive boost. The fans will return and if we start putting a run together I feel we can achieve a similar or better average crowd to last season. MB needs us all to get behind him. If you don't want to contribute to squad-building initiatives then simply don't, but please stop harping on about it.

Nothing wrong with the fan owned model.
My problem is that our fan owned model is currently as transparent and interactive as any privately owned fiefdom.
Agree about a good run by the way.

Has there been an announcement yet with board responsibilities? Maybe some roles with targets that will allow us some amount of measure of how much bang for their vote the membership are getting? Or are they just emailing the paid staff three days before the next members meeting asking for notes? One of the board responded on twitter stating he would be in the Blues Bar following games, but outside of this I have seen no communication from the board whatsoever. Maybe I have missed something? I haven't seen anything either. The CFU website stated that the fans would be updated on the new reporting structure "shortly" - that was 3 weeks ago. Also now been a full month since Build Bignot's Budget was announced alongside the promise to keep "a running total of the funds raised from your contributions from this point forward". Top communication as always.

You would think the Chairman, who comes from a communications and marketing background, would have this sorted.
