Yet another poor defeat makes tomorrow evening’s home game against Barrow a must-win. Hopefully Marcus will know a lot about our struggling opponents from his time there, which can be translated onto the pitch. Our players seriously need to realise this ridiculously long predicament and wake up now. Anything less than a win will not look good at all. Let’s hope we can get what we need. Come On City! Score: Chester FC (White, Dawson) 2-0 Barrow Attendance: 1,473 (112 Barrow) COYB!

I'm backing us to win tomorrow.
The two new lads seem OK and there maybe further arrivals today. Hopefully if we can keep improving the squad bit by bit, we can start an upward curve of form.
It's going to be a real dogfight though. Most Chester fans see this as a must-win match, but Barrow will be well up for it. Looking forward to it.
2-1 (White, Hannah)

Barrow are really struggling (well, so are we...), Bignot will know about them from his time there not long ago, I’ve got a good feeling about this (probably means we’ll lose 2-0) but I’m predicting 1-0 Blues.... Zanzala bagging his first goal. Att 1,387 with 56 Barrow.

They're no great shakes, we've been terrible but are at home, so go for 1-1. Guessing 1,300-1,400 present, depending on the weather.

Well done to Rio for starting this thread and notifying us of a game because the club have done nothing to promote this once again. However, hopefully we never have the misfortune of seeing Dawson in a Chester shirt again. Turnbull and James in the middle is a must.

Until we have a team of 11 loanees I can't see us winning a game. I'll be there nevertheless - someone check me into the Bowmere afterwards.

Everything points to another bleak night tomorrow - two struggling teams, probably a poor crowd and, most crucially, the after effects of yet another dismal performance on Saturday.
BUT, sometimes, a win and/or performance comes from the most unlikely of circumstances (Huddersfield on Saturday for example?) and that is a big reason that people like me keep turning up
After Kiddie, the players missed a big chance to restore some faith with the fans and, given the reaction on here, you have to wonder how many "last" chances they're going to get from both the fans and the manager.
Yet again, I'll make this plea to the players - PUT IN A PERFORMANCE AND WE WILL BACK YOU TO THE HILT.
It must sink in eventually, mustn't it?
Anyway, it must come good eventually so I'm going for a 2-0 win with around 1300 masochists in attendance

We have always lost to Barrow as a new club and I feel that sequence will continue tomorrow CFC 1, Barrow 3 att. 1,347.

The game will be the lowest league gate since we have reformed, about 1300.
As mentioned above what are the club doing to get people through the door for last saturday and this tuesday? Nothing.
I feel like some kind of mentalist when i tell people i am going the game and i haven't seen us win since Southport away.

Exactly. Marketing and Advertising department has once again finished for the season.
Mark Maguire said at the time of McCarthys sacking that "we need the fans more than ever"
So what are the board (Ops and CFU) doing to get those fans back?
Are we utilising social media to the fullest to advertise our games?
Are we reaching out to the people of Chester with incentives or pricing offers for upcoming games?
What are they doing?

Any statto's out there know what our lowest league crowd is since reformation? I fear whatever it is it could be beaten tomorrow night.

It is absolutely farcical that these 2 games haven't been incentivised. It leaves me with 0% confidence in whoever is supposed to be in charge down there.
With a well publicised deal, we could have averted a truly disastrous attendance but I'll go with 1250 there tomorrow night.

We ain't winning this one. 1-0 to them and another pile of bollocks to sit through. Predict the crowd to be 26 with 4 from Barrow.

I'm going to stick my neck out and say a home win. Won't be pretty, and we won't keep a clean sheet but I think 2-1. If Archer starts with Zanzala and Hannah/White/Akintunde flanking him. Gough in at left back and LRT on the bench.

I'm hoping Akintunde is fit for this game as his pace could be key. I'm also hopeful Chappel, White and Dawson are on tea bar duties.
Chester 2 Barrow 0. Ross Hannah to score both and to run to all four sides with finger on lips and hand to ear.

With any luck Ross Hannah wont feature. I would go with Archer and Zanzola, up front. 4 new players may just spark a performance, out of the rest of this rabble.

Given Barrow's league position we should surely manage a win and a t least a draw. Not to do should reflect on the manager in my opinion as well as the players. He cannot simply blame the players when we lose. If Iceland can muster a win V England we should be able to motivate and tactically organize a winning 11 against Barrow.

0-2 Barrow and some seriously worried fans. Attn 1389.
IF we score a goal, I think we will win, but it's a big IF for a team that see only can't find the net with "decent strikers" on paper.

Can't believe nobody talks about Bell on this site. Scored for fun pre-season. Got a start against Salford behind closed doors and scored another 25 yarder actually got on the pitch against Boreham and scored another opportunist goal but people still talk about White... This guy knows where the net is give him a start.
