Are you glad we refused to enter into the PPE procurement scheme multiple times? Hundreds of health care and NHS staff dead.

Westminster voting intention:
CON: 43% LAB: 39% LDEM: 6% GRN: 3%
With the governments God-awful handling of the Covid crisis Labour should be well ahead in the polls. Starmer has to go, and make way for a competent leader.
That’s how it works right?

The public voted in this callous Tory government knowing full well that ten years of austerity has killed tens of thousands. Now tens of thousands are dying due to pandemic mismanagement and they're still polling 40%.
Should we just accept the fact that the country would rather thousands die than we had to chip in to improve local public services?

Just to give me clue to your reasoning what is your ideal government and which country in the world at this present time is closest to your Utopia (and no I will not retort with go and live there then) I am just interested in your ideals

An ideal government probably doesn't exist. But to defend the current shambles on the basis that there's no "ideal" alternative is silly, and is playing right into their hands.
I don't necessarily expect an ideal government, but I don't think it's unreasonable to want something better than this. I believe this is the worst government we've ever had.

I totally agree with your 1st statement which is why I asked for Franks ideals and which country is nearest to those ideals but for some reason he seems a little reluctant to answer in full. As for your 2nd statement that is, of course, your opinion which you are entitled to have and I respect that, I believe the worst government we've ever had was the Labour government in the late 70s which led us into the winter of discontent 78/79

Back in the 70s even Tony Benn can see what a disaster being in the EU/Common Market was and there was only 6 in it then

I see leading Brexshitter, Lord Digby Jones is saying we need another Royal Yacht to boost morale during the pandemic. I must say the thought of spending £100million of public money on a new toy for a bunch of work-shy over-privileged wastes of space has cheered me up no end.

I see chlorinated chicken and hormone-treated beef is on its way, despite all those promises from Johnson and Gove on food standards and animal welfare. Valuable lesson here folks, never, ever, trust a Tory.

Valuable lesson here folks, never, ever, trust a Tory. Shocking really. It's not even the chlorine that's the main problem, it's the state these carcasses are allowed to get in before being "cleaned". Has the origin of the pandemic taught us nothing about the importance of food hygiene?
Makes me glad I've gone all but veggie now. Not something I could have imagined doing a few years ago, but I'm finding it pretty easy, while also saving money and losing weight.

In cosmetics alone, the EU has banned or restricted more than 1,300 chemicals while the US has outlawed or curbed just 11. It's possible to find formaldehyde, a known carcinogen banned in EU-sold cosmetics, in US hair-straightening treatments and nail polish.
Good for this country, indeed.

That's like going to a car showroom and asking "why should I buy this car?", and the salesman saying "well, just buy it, and then you'll see!"
