So if Wales raises £32 billion in taxes the expenditure is £42billion the shortfall being made up from Central Government thats some tax hike to cover the shortfall cant see the Welsh voting for that linkThe full implications would need to be laid out, unlike Brexit where most people were ill informed about the consequences and just saw slogans on buses etc. Spell out what it would mean for the country (pro's and con's) and then let the people make an informed vote. The article linked does say that... "This is the picture now. It’s not the same picture it would be after independence. It’s quite probable Wales would spend considerably less in certain policy areas – defence is an obvious one, but there are others like foreign affairs and public administration." I would guess there would need to be discussions about resources (water etc.) that are sourced in Wales for use in England currently. It's interesting. Like I said earlier, I'm for it but not at any cost - obviously a thorough and honest assessment is needed.

Welsh Independence poll shows support running at 40% . Farage thought that Brexit would light a fuse under the EU looks like it has lit a fuse under the UK. Lol Good job I ve made my application for Irish citizenship. Your application is taking a long time mate, maybe they've knocked you back? It could take upto 18 months , so many people unhappy with the cesspit that the UK has become.

Well said, we need to look past the headlines from those with vested interests - the MSM to support the U.K. government etc. This little guide is a great starting point... Independence In Your Pocket

So I'm stupid because you have done what you always do. Just try for once to make a comment without the snide comments. It's a good job your health isn't decided by your personality.

Haha A country ruled by Right wing, English popularists, closely aligned, with the openly Racist and gutter politics of Farage and the Daily Mail and Express, who are intent on burning bridges and openly antagonising the EU and the US, over Northern Ireland and threatening the Peace Process. No wonder the Irish, Scots and ever increasing numbers of the Welsh want out.I dont feel anything for this country and hate what it has become.

It’s saddening really when you think about what the U.K. has become - a fascist, white English nationalist state. Yet you’ll still get childish comments like the one above mine if you ever mention that fact.

It probably was better, before western intervention. Dear me There were parts of Syria that were absolutely beautiful - and some stunning beaches. Of course, we never get shown this part of the country so we kind of become conditioned to believe it to be completely made up of the images of vast swathes of rubble that we always see on the news.

Have you been or do you base your knowledge on other people's opinions like Mancot does? I mentioned Syria as a joke, but there's always a melodramatic angle you guys take for any person or country, it's always someone else's fault when something fails.

Dublin is one of the most expensive cities, in Europs, but the standard of living is much higher than here. A real 'Celtic Tiger' , that has benefited vastly from EU membership and throwing off the dead hand of Imperialism A great example to what an Independent Scotland can achieve.

Ireland is the eigth most expensive in Europe. UK is 27th.it all comes with a price. If you can afford to go good look to you. A couple of my mates moved over about 20 years ago it was brilliant till the arse fell out of it. Both now in Australia.

Dublin has more rough sleepers than London. My mates are top quantity surveyors and we're on mega money. Still finished up out of work when the property boom collapsed. I used to stay in a place called ballina County mayo my work mate was born there along with his brother and 10 sister he came to England at 15.i used to wind him up and say would you ever go back Patrick. He always said your feckin joking at £4.70 a pint for Guinness.
