Well apparently John major was OK to prorogue parliament to avoid questions on cash for questions. I am totally confused who is ruling this country. Non brits taking UK government to court and winning something very strange going on. Almost a quarter of a century ago. Maybe the law has evolved over that time? Also who are the non-Brits he is referring to?

Brexiteers: “we want our sovereignty back, and the power to come to the British courts.”
British courts say Boris has broken the law.
Brexiteers: “no not like that!”

Decision to prorogue parliament ruled unlawful. No ifs or buts, total condemnation of Johnson by the court. At the very least he should be arrested. Yes, he is now literally a criminal.

Serving Prime Minister found to have broken the law in an attempt to steamroller through something that will massively damage the British economy but make him and his rich friends millions of pounds, lied to the Queen to do so, and is also facing serious allegations of gross misuse of taxpayers funds to lavish on one of his young “bits on the side” - is this treasonous traitor to our country fit for the role? Yeah, but Venezuela....

Born in a British overseas territory and holds dual-citizenship. Fair play to her for campaigning to reclaim our sovereignty and bringing power back to our own courts, you’d think her “enemies” would be happy.

Born in Guyana when it was a British colony, and has lived here since the age of 10, so yes, I'd say so. Can't see that it's very important anyway.

Can you not reply to a post without call ing people names. Why is it whenever I do a bit of fishing you are always first to bite.

Not surprised in the slightest that the Supreme Court have ruled prorogation was unlawful. Correct decision made.
Johnson should resign, but we all know he won't. We've had successive PMs now who have been the worst in our history. the previous one found in contempt of parliament, and now this one ruled to be unlawful with prorogation.
Absolutely must rule out no deal now in the coming weeks, get the extension nailed and get that General Election in before Christmas.

If having an opinion is being provocative I plead guilty You admitted you were "fishing". You've also implied that you aren't happy that Boris has been taken to court by someone who isn't 'British' enough for your liking.
All fine, but don't sulk in the corner if you're called out on it.

Never hid from a good argument in my life. Does not mean I'm right does not mean I'm wrong. But I have an opinion and I am entitled to it. Fishing is great at my age because unlike me some people who think all my opinions are wrong. If you don't support brexit I don't want to change you but. just accept I have an opinion.

If having an opinion is being provocative I plead guilty She’s as British as Boris Johnson, who was born in America and only gave up his American passport in 2015 when the IRS started chasing him for unpaid taxes.

Seeing a lot of comments from people old enough to have benefited from free prescriptions, free higher education, a wage that could support a family and a decent welfare system describe Labour’s policies as "unicorns".
Thatcher really did a number on them didn’t she?

You'd have thought at least Boris and his cronies might have come back with their tails between their legs and a bit of humility. Listening to that arrogant tax-dodging sod Geoffrey Cox pontificating about "cowardice" and other nonsense in the light of yesterday's findings is nauseating.

It seems Johnson and Farage are working from the same 'let's incite violence' playbook at the moment. The inflammatory language used by the Prime Minister in Parliament yesterday was more than matched by the rhetoric Farage used at a Brexit Party rally in Newport a few days ago, “We’ve put fear in the hearts of the MPs in Wales,” and “Once Brexit is done, we will take the knife to the pen pushers in Whitehall,”
Other speakers invoked the 'Civil War', and 'the battle for freedom'.
They are playing a dangerous game.

Yes, I think they've been learning from Trump to be honest. Shout louder than everyone else and jab your finger at them harder, even when you know you're wrong.
Unfortunately, there's a sizable portion of the electorate with whom this sort of behaviour seems to resonate.

Indeed, as we all know too well with the terrible tragedy of an MP’s brutal murder. The fact that our squatter in chief referred to “getting Brexit done” to honour her death is an absolute disgrace.

Some interesting theories here about Boris's behaviour. www.wired.co.uk/article/boris-johnson-model-google-news"For instance – the hypothesis goes – by saying he was the “model of restraint”, Johnson was attempting to divert attention from stories detailing his alleged affair with former model Jennifer Arcuri, which became less visible in search results for “Boris Johnson model." I've always thought he is extremely intelligent and something of a schemer. His quirky public persona masks his very ugly politics.

Three days ago, The Express ran a typically hyperbolic story headlined "Labour’s minimum wage plan could cost you YOUR job and send unemployment soaring.”
"...LABOUR’S plan to increase the minimum wage to £10 per hour have been torn apart by critics, who raged it could cost millions of Britons their jobs and destroy the efforts get employment levels to record highs."
Will the Express run a repeat for Sajid Javid’s “I’ll raise you 50p” plan? Will they hell.
On the subject of the Tories’ copying Labour’s plan, I notice they’ve only committed to putting it in place in five years’ time if they win the next election. Yet, they are in power right now, they could raise the minimum wage today if they wanted to. Another bribe to keep power that they won’t honour, I’m sure.
