Think his times up,done nothing to improve us,another poor apoitment, we needed an experienced manager to sort mcarthys mess out and he's not up to the job,we needed a Mark Wright type of manager in, sort out the goalkeeper and defence, stop leaking goals and build from there.

What's the point? His contract is up at the end of the season, along with the vast majority of the squad. No point wasting money on cancelling contracts and a mass overhaul halfway through a futile season where we have nowt to play for. We may as well play the remainder of this season out and start afresh in May.

Plenty of points to play for still with the right manager, if we go down we will never come back up,far to much money floating around the conference north for us to compete, you only have to look at the likes of York and Stockport, get decent gates yet are miles behind the Salfords, Harrogate etc

Well said. 60 points left to contest and he is writing the season off in his interviews! Losing the loan players, well go and get some more then, some better ones than the majority of ones you’ve signed you charlatan. He’s got to go, Grimsby fans were right. He is clueless. Shocking appointment by MaGuire. I hope it’s MaGuire who has to tell him too! Treats him like his adopted son!

The loan signings are all going according to Bignot. That leaves us with the dross we already have and kids to see out tree remainder of the season.
It sounds very much like we've not got a pot to piss in either that or our board and CEO are trying to reduce spend as much as possible for next season.
Great Escape my arse!

I voted for you to be elected on to the Board, when you put your manifesto in Nov 2015, and how Wrong I could have been, I appreciate that, but we're talking a long two/three years ago now, a lot has changed. I would've hoped we wouldn't be in this futile situation we now find ourselves in. I will reiterate the point that throwing more money we haven't got on sacking another manager will only mean a replacement has no better a footing (possibly an even worse footing) to sort out a group of players who quite clearly can't be bothered. When Bignot is contracted until the end of the season, "what is the point" in doing all of the above. We've got to stick with him now, we've made our bed with him, we need to lay in it.

Sorry but I don’t think it’ll cost a lot to “relieve him of his duties”. He’s 4 or 5 months left on his contract that’s all. You can place him on Gardening Leave and pay him his basic wage without bonuses for that period, negotiate an amount to get him to go (£5k possibly?) Then he’s free to seek other employment, or go to a tribunal and settle out of court, he’d be lucky to get £5k there and he can’t get another job in the meantime, because they’d take into account his record etc.
Then, get someone in who the fans will recognise as a manager and leader with experience, there’s plenty about, and if the right appointment then is made (keep MaGuire out of the way he hasn’t a good record has he?) and that manager if he adds 50 to the gate, hopefully more, will be paying his own wages! I reckon we could get someone in, loads out of work but folk know my preference, on a week to week contract!
But please Board, do something even if it’s write the season off and put Jimmy Soul (sorry Jimmy) in charge and Jordan Chapell captain!
Let’s hear from you what your plan is short term.

That post-match interview is so deflating it's untrue! He's given up the ghost.
Did his fellow Midlander Ian Atkins act so negatively after a 7 - 1 tonking against Brighton? No, he said that we'd fight to the bitter end and we did. He galvanised the fans and although the club fell slightly short everyone was motivated by his will to win and never say die attitude. No wonder Ian Atkins has been employed by the likes of Everton and currently Villa because he had a winners mentality.
Bignot is not showing anything like Atkins did. In fact his post-match interviews are an embarrassment.
Sort it out Bignot. Show something and we will support you. Us Chester fans have been through worse than this but we need some positivity.

Bignots body language is shocking, looks like he’s given in,how can he inspire the players. .Its not that long ago people on here we’re saying torquay and solihul were cut adrift and already down.well they might still go down but they’re no longer adrift. .So why can’t we claw the points back on the 5th from bottom, yes it’s going to be tough. Get Bignot out and get somebody in who won’t give in,he knew what the job was when he was giving it the big I am in his interview.

Ok Bignot out ridiculous imo. He has had no money really in order to try and improve us. Using the loan market and having to request that the parent club meets most if not all of the expense makes it extremely tough. We know what he inherited wasn’t good enough. I’ll reserve judgement after he has had the chance to assemble his own side regardless of what league that may well be in.

Marcus Bignot's blue and white army! Army my arse. What a ridiculously misused noun. The Army is one of Her Majest’s Armed Forces, responsible for the defence of The United Kingdom. It certainly should not be used as a term for any team of civilian footballers, let alone one with such a pathetic lack of fight or ability to defend a lead!

As history shows, you can have a shit army that is easily defeated in a clueless battle.
Often the generals are the ones who call the disastrous shots rather than those at the front line being to blame.

Bignot is the manager of the football team and, as such, criticism (and equally praise if due) can be levelled at him for results, performance, tactics and so on. Like every manager since the beginning of time, he will stand or fall by these criteria.
Everything else falls (or should do) under the remit of those tasked with running the club and, for the life of me, I can't see how MB can be blamed for the general malaise, lack of off-field progress etc that has engulfed the club over the last weeks, months and years.
Therefore to fire him now would do little if anything to address the bigger issues we face. He deserves the opportunity to create his own team, wherever we end up playing next season and his destiny will be determined accordingly.
However, there is no reason why what needs to be done "behind the scenes" cannot start to be addressed now for whatever the future holds. Therein lies the big issue however - how do we as a club go about it when opinions are both wide-ranging and strongly held?

You can be gutted but still talk positive ,do you think mark Yates at Solihull as got load of money to throw about, and he inherited a worse side then us. Look, a week before we conceded 4 goals to that flippin' team playing at home. A week later we were on to win and only conceded one in the last minute because someone made a mistake and didn't play to waste time in their corner. That is two things. It is needed progress from the shambles a week before, and it is gut wrenchingly unlucky. I don't want a manager to BS over that, I want one to be as personally gutted as I was and he most certainly was, he wears his heart on his sleeve, I respect that and given the team he has inherited I have not yet found much to be critical of given the crock he has found here. He is the manager until the end of the season at least, we have the players we have until then too, so stop all this crap and get behind both as it is all we can possibly do - and if we don't then really we are not worthy of calling ourselves supporters because until it becomes mathematically impossible to stay up I for one am not going to stop believing...

I'm sorry but no one can save this squad they are simply not good enough they are weak lack pace and any skill and it really doesn't matter who we bring in as Manager would not save us- we struggled against Guiseley and got hammered at Halifax so what do you think Ebbsfleet Fylde and Gateshead will do to us - I can not muster an ounce of confidence we will muster 35 points for the whole season and that's optimistic

Supporters need to support now more than ever, or is it just when we are winning that you will the lads on?

Given that we recruited some of Macclesfied’s alleged better players, and in return they acquired two of our unwanted players. Are you seriously suggesting that had Bignot gone to Macclesfield in mid September and Askey come to Chester that results and current league positions would be the same? One of the two can manage at this level. You decide who I mean.

I think theee players have been dreadful largely this season. But I also think the management of them has been very poor, but crucially I think they can improve and be harder to beat at least. With a better manager this crew could do better, loads of room for improvement and an experienced manager would screw out of them better performances. Look at Hodgson at Palace as a rather daft example, but still, loads of points available, shift Bignot and get an experienced man in THE SOONER THE BETTER
If you the Board sit on your hands and do nothing you risk more than just relegation. You risk losing many of our supporters many of whom many not return for a long time who want to see a well organised, motivated team playing with pride. I’m already contemplating leaving the CFU, but doubt I will.........it’s in the blood Chester FC. So do something, presently you are just letting us all down.
