Luckily not! If you're trying to have a dig I was at Dover recently, I'm a young lad I can't afford to travel everywhere. No I was wondering how you knew it was disgraceful without witnessing it. 3 nil down after 16 minutes... I doubt you need to be there to know there playing terrible

At the risk of upsetting the "there's absolutely nothing to worry about" brigade, I'm worried.

They could be playing very well and have 3 goals against the run of play.

I really fear for us next season. With the rumours George, Hudson and Durrell are being retained relegation must be a certainty.
Iweulomo should do the honourable thing and go and McCarthy should look at someone like Lee Sinnott.

It isn't unacceptable that we are unchanged after Gateshead.
Luke George is our captain yet his best position is suspended. This 4-5-1 with no width and accommodating Joyce and George needs putting in the bin

What happened to keeping it simple with 4-4-2? It clearly worked for the first half of the season. We now have zero wide men in the team. A team full of centre mids. Joyce and George are not creative in the slightest and would not bother me if neither played again. Same goes for Horwood, although I know Hunt is suspended. Poor Lloyd is then pushed out wide. Just seems like McCarthy is going for Burr tac tics playing everyone in the wrong place, in a formation that they don't really get what's going on as well. I've given McCarthy so much praise this season, why break a good philosophy? Until we switch back and get the likes of Mahon and (Chapell) I guess out wide we are not going upwards that is for sure. We need wingers who can beat people, not the sideway passers of George and Joyce!

Absolute disgrace. You need to play the best players you have in their best players. Astles and Hughes need to be centre of defence as stated previously. Joyce is also not a player that should have been on from the start and should only be on the bench in the most dire of circumstances - Richards should have been on from the start.
If anyone believes that Astles and Hudson are a better pairing than that of our most valuable player playing centre of defence have not been watching the matches this season - and that unfortunately includes the manager. Unfortunately we again for another game have set up with a very poor spine to the team and as much as i like McCarthy and do believe he best suits us currently, he has learnt nothing from last weeks match given this selection.

The fact he's been exempt from shit is that he's never been fit/not suspended for a long enough period of time for people to judge.

Should be 4 as 30 yard shot hits the post. Truly the most woeful first 15 minutes I have seen from Chester in 39 years of watching them. Clueless. Astro turf and sun in the eyes not helping the defence or goalkeeper, but truly embarrassing performance. A pity as pre match was great. Fans and club very friendly. I think I will have to don a balaclava for the walk of shame back to the car...

4 now. Lynch at fault. Why do our goal keepers not wear baseball caps when there is a low sun? Truly embarrassing. The club should be offering to reimburse fans for this.

I sincerely hope that the manager and players refund the fans who have gone to witness that shower today. 0-4 down at half time is simply unacceptable.

Have to agree with this. Likeable fella, playing with a very small budget, but he really doesn't help himself does he? Championship sides fighting over our young centre half, and we play him at right back. We sign a quality attacking player from Wigan, not even on the bench. Don't even start me on George and Joyce. Need to go back to basics Jon, this isn't good enough.

No doubt he will be out later spouting crap about the long season taking its toll on the squad. What did he do to earn that contract? Have we not learnt at a club? Decision should have been taken towards the end of the season when he could be judged after 46 games, rather than after half a season where is assistant seemed to be the chief organiser. Now we are stuck with him and no doubt, even worse, the shower of crap he deludedly believes are good enough. Only a handful have shown they deserve a contract.

Dave Powell not exactly holding back with his views
I'm concerned as to what this run and this defeat is doing to the team psychologically because I'm not convinced that Macca knows how to bring the confidence back up or if there's a strong enough character (like Sharps was) to help.
The season is really beginning to look like it can't come to an end quick enough for the fans and, unfortunately, the players

One huge positive from this hiding is that McCarthy can now surely see that players like George, Joyce, Durrell, Horward and Hudson are not good enough for this level. A huge clear out needed from this small squad.
