Inspired by the thread on here about videos, I was musing about which goals I have in my mind that I would love to see again online. My three would be
1) Ian Rush v Millwall 1980 in the FA Cup 4th round. My first game, my first hero. In my mind he lifted the ball over an onrushing keeper. My memories of that day are sooo rose tinted (how green the grass was, how loud and large the crowd was, the view of the city from the new main stand etc), it maybe better in my mind.
2) Graham Barrow v Wrexham 1987 Freight Rover at the Racecourse. The run down the wing from Brian Croft (?), the ball in and GB rising like a Greek God in front of a then open Kop to spark absolute bedlam in the away end, which was limited to terrace only as the Border Stand was seat less following the FA Cup game 2 months before. Two more in extra time followed, a Derek Fazakerly penalty and a cool as fk Stuart Rimmer tuck away at the death. But its the Barrow goal for me, a real warrior Captain (take note Luke George). I've seen a grainy pic of the goal, would love to see it again.
3) Graham Lancashire v Preston 1994 Division 4 at the Deva. Packed ground, lock outs, 2-2 late on in a 6 pointer at the right end of the table. Graham Lancashire (may have been Mark Leonard, we'd been in the Highfield since 11am) prods home to create utter orgasmic ecstacy in the Choccy End (it was pre-Harry Mac days and we had to entertain ourselves). I've looked everywhere for it, never seen it and would love to.
Any of you lot got any?

Kevin Ellison's winner in the LDV game at Sheffield Wednesday in 2004. Never seen it since, but it was superb!
Steve Whitehall scored some crackers for us as well in Conference games that were probably never recorded. The Boxing Day chip against Hereford stands out.

Siggi Eyjolfsson's thumping header against Hull to help keep us up. Oh, hold on...
Aside from the obvious choices (McGinn, Heneghan etc) I'd throw in Steve Whitehall against Oxford in the Cup, any Stuey Whittaker goal (he always seemed to score pearlers) and Daryl Clare's hat-trick goal away at Tamworth purely because it arrived literally one second after the "he gets the ball and scores a goal" chant had ended. It was only a six yard finish but was impeccable timing.

Whitehall's goal against Hereford was a curious absentee from the goals compliation vidoes I had that NATV produced at that time covering virtually every home goal we scored in those seasons. Don't remember seeing it since the moment it went in sadly. Matt Doughty's tremendous goal at Mansfield on the previous Boxing Day is another one I'd like to see again.

Matt Doughty v Mansfield Town away, boxing day I think. The season we went down.
Rose tinted spectacles but I remember it being a Tony Yeboah like thunderbolt volley from the edge of the box

I mis-read this originally as "Goats", I thought what a weird thread ;-)
Can't remember the opponents, but Alex Smith's long ranger on his return game to the club, and when Spencer Whelan scored from the halfway line.
A more recent one from one of our 1st friendlies since we reformed, Peers's Beckham esque goal against Aberystwyth if I recall

I remembered Whitehall's winner as a deft chip from the right corner of the box but it was actually a volley from a central-left position which was probably even more difficult to execute! The fact that it completed a turnaround from a two-goal deficit to dump a League club out of the Cup and set up that famous trip to Ewood Park in the third round glorified my memory of his goal. Of course he went on to score in the next round only to have it cruelly ruled out by the referee. To this day I maintain he got it wrong.

NWAS, if memory serves it was Graham Lancashire, with a half bicycle kick type effort from around the penalty spot following a cross from the right hand side.
I've definitely seen it online before, but can'd find it on youtube currently.
I'm sure the club could make it available somehow though

I also seem to remember we had to wear blue and white shirts and yellow shorts that day, which looked ridiculous! Whitehall scored a cracking turn and shot from outside the box on his debut at Kingstonian as well, and a similar one at the Deva a few weeks later against Kettering, I think.

Howard v Stalybridge
Love this one by Iain Howard away (about 2:30). Most decent goals scored by Chester FC are easy enough to find online. It's the Chester City goals that prove tough to find. Unless people were taping Nationwide League Extra and keeping them to upload, there are some gems out there though.

I remember Kevin Roberts scoring an absolute belter away at Wrexham, wouldn't mind seeing that again. Sarcevic at Colwyn Bay as well.

Spencer Whelan's goal from the half way line is one of my requests, can't remember who it was against but it definitely came off his shin! Sometime in the 90's i was only young at the time...

What were his 2 goals against Preston like then, my memory is a very similar goal to that being scored in front of a packed away end, i'm still sure it was against Preston. But maybe as the two games were relatively close together the memories of both games have merged into one?

The Colchester game between the two was my first Chester game.
