Thats why they are Chester legends! More stuff of legends from them. I saw them a few years ago at an away game like Bury on their bikes. They make Chris Froome look lazy! You want to see them on the paper rounds! Legends.

Thought Higgins had a decent game for them, decent long throws and good crosser of the ball, thought richards and Joyce were poor, highlight of the day was seeing the Harry mcnally lookalike and his son peddling through Southport on there mountain bikes going to the game Thats why they are Chester legends! Is that Harry and Woody Allen?

I've seen them in the city centre on Bridge St delivering the Standard. He even offered me one. Junior stopped me for a chat. He's a decent bloke and loves the club.
I seriously hope the club do a presentation for them both for their outstanding support. Cycling to places like Bury, Southport etc shows a lot of commitment and I doubt they've missed a game in years. This isn't taking anything away from the others of dedicated CFC fans but to cycle 80 to 100 miles and not miss a game deserves recognition from the club.

He is lazy and has a big time Charlie mentality. Thinks he's made it and he's playing for Chester. He has some pace and some talent but totally flatters to deceive at this level. Shame but that's how it is.And I don't have an ajenda...😂

you were garbage it only took a fluke to win that A win is a win. We've been magnificent in a couple of games and lost recently. Those 3 points see us pretty much safe. I think Southport could go down (what a mistake letting Burr go as he would of at least got you 3 points against us!) Ask Altrincham fans how tough The National League North is these days. Only won twice all season and certs to go down again. Bad times at Southport.

With regard to Richards: I've been eternally hoping he's going to improve now since he first came and and he hasn't. I even forgave him for his appalling behaviour at Lincoln last season. He's more likely to go down looking for a foul than try to create a chance for himself or his team mates. He's petulant, he arrogant and we can do much better next season. Get rid.

you were garbage it only took a fluke to win that It wasn't a fluke at all. It was a well taken goal and, more importantly from your point of view, terrible defending of a big punt up the field from our keeper. Not helped, of course, by your right back being hopelessly out of position as we saw from him many times over the space of a year and a half. That's why you're losing games - no fluke about it.

Southport look like relegation certainties. I'd be extremely surprised if they survived the drop.
The long ball tactics up to the lone striker was reminiscent of what we saw last season before McCarthy took over. They look destined for the drop and had Mahon started the game on the right side I think Chester would've won that 3 or 4 nil.

Surprised at the praise for Horwood and Astles, I thought both were very poor first half (difficult to say as Astles' biggest fan) with Hughes and Hunt saving their skin a few times, although Horwood improved in the second half. Hunt was outstanding and Hughes showed why he is destined for the big leagues, that dribble out of trouble with has face towards goal in the first half was magnificent.
Thought Joyce played well as has been said, and what a joy it was to see Mahon bombing down the wing again. Tom Shaw's rugby tackle on Ryan Higgins looks a bit silly in hindsight, but something needed to be done as Horwood/Lloyd stood off him and let him get down the wing far too easily. Someone mentioned that he might just be winded but he tried to run it off and it looked like a leg injury, really hope he's ok for Saturday.
Richards was really frustrating to watch, the odd occasion he got on the ball he was just trying to draw a foul instead of trying to run at their defence, which is what terrifies them and what he did during his good run of form at the start of the season. I like him and have defended him for a while but it's getting difficult recently, though I do feel he would have had a much better season if Akintunde had been pushing him for his place.
Richards does allow us to go 4-4-2 and alleviates the pressure on Alabi and that was a welcome change today, but Tom Shaw isn't a winger, and it was frustrating having no outlet on that side of the pitch until Durrell came on.
Slightly optimistic for Saturday now with Tranmere playing tomorrow and us not, but would take a draw now!

Spending time big time iv seen kane and james alabai at the gym numerous times and hes actually very polite and well spoken. 7 goals 7 assist in his first season actually playing isnt a bad return. All in all our first victory in 4 and a negative is kane Richards in his first game back. I dont quite understand. But i guess thats why we are fans and Mcarthy is in charge :-)

But i guess thats why we are fans and Mcarthy is in charge :-) Kane even gave up his own time in the Summer and came up to Grosvenor Park with James and they had a kick about with me and some other kids. Certain people need to see it to believe it. He's a young lad who is learning the game. Most of us we're slating James in October, look what form he's in now. Whether Kane is going down or running at defenders, we need to show our capabilities and get behind him. Players can't improve if they play in front of back stabbers.

Kane might enjoy a kick around the park with the kids but it's when he comes up against the men his troubles start. We have seen a great improvement in Alabi but none in Richards. People say he has potential but that was said a couple of years ago, is it going to be said every season until he retires. He has an incredible asset at this level, genuine pace but the number of times I've seen him shorten his stride to avoid a situation is frustrating.

Kane's downturn in form has coincided with Akintunde getting injured. He started the season pretty well and was a handful at times but it's been a while since I have seen him turn in performances like that. Perhaps worth giving Chappell a go up top as we definitely need to play 4-4-2.

I'm no fan of him out wide but in fairness when he has been pushed up front playing centrally he looks a much better player. Perhaps not a long term option but maybe a better option than Kane at the moment.
