Absolutely heartbreaking to see this happen in front of us. I feel so much pain for his Family. Everything else that happened tonight is irrelevant when you see a wonderful team of people doing their utmost to save a life. Sadly, they just couldn't do enough. May you Rest In Peace Fellow Blue.

Very, very sad news.
Rest in Peace.
Chester Forever.
I've suggested on Twitter that maybe an idea for the next home game would to pay tribute to the supporter by having a minute's applause in the minute matching his age. Just an idea where all could take part.

Very sad news and my thoughts go to his family and friends at this sad time, you don't expect a loved one to go to a football match and not come home I could tell it was very serious from the west stand and as the police moved to take him out and I could see them trying to resuscitate him. From what I could see the police, st john's and the paramedics deserve our thanks. I know this is very sad situation but I was also proud of our fans as they took him out the drum played and the fans clapped in respect I'm sure he would have appreciated that. RIP fella a true blue.

I commend the medic and St John's crew. They tried their very best although his life ended. It looked bad from the East Stand, and I wish his family and friends get through this tough time. RIP Gary.

Watching Gary fall, thinking he slipped in wet conditions to soon realising this was as serious as it gets was truly awful. My thoughts are with his family and friends.
Losing one of us on the Harry Mac is devastating.

Extremely sad news. Can only think of Gary's family and loved ones at this time. You'd never imagine somebody leaving the house to go to a football match and not return home after. Praise to the paramedics and the police who did everything they could to help the supporter, but ultimately, it's devastating to hear that he couldn't pull through. Looking at the replies to the Club Statement on Twitter, it's warming to see fans and supporters of other clubs sending their heartfelt wishes too. In times like this, the Football Family comes together. RIP fellow blue x

Couldn't sleep last night thinking about this. I didn't know him but I really think we (as Chester fans and the footballing community as a whole) could do something for his family at this most difficult time. Is there anyone who could maybe setup a 'Justgiving' page or similar? It maybe a small gesture but something I would happily donate to, with the family's blessing of course.
