Truly tragic My condolences to his family and friends at what must be a traumatic time
I hope the Club does the right thing by him with some sort of tribute at the next home match
P.S. Huge appreciation and thanks for the efforts of the medics, support staff and police

Certainly puts the result into perspective. I'd be devastated if that was my dad and I found out while following a match thread on DevaChat.
Absolute tragedy.
RIP Gary.

This is hugely sad. It was awful to see and I can only imagine what those who were there with him must have gone through. It's warming to hear the job the medics did in such an awful scenario. What can be said is that, the performance the boys put in was one he would have been proud of. RIP.

How the match was allowed to kick off I have no idea. Rest In Peace fellow Blue - share a few glasses with Harry Mac up there.
Terribly sad to see - my condolences to family and friends.

Hadn't the game already kicked off? No I saw the medics and police rush over about 10 minutes before. I was surprised it was still on too.

My deepest sympathies to the family, fans and officials at Chester FC. It is deeply shocking for everyone when a tragedy like this happens. Having been in a situation like this as a first responder it is traumatic especially when you try so hard. I am positive that fans from all clubs send the condolences and sympathies.
RIP....died watching the club he loved.

I remember when we played at Prenton Park earlier this season, and a rumour went round that a Chester fan had died of a heart attack. Heard the same rumour last night, and again was hoping it was just another false rumour, like the last one. Sadly this time the news was indeed true, and whatever happened on the field of play is just a shadow in the distance when news like this comes through.
Like many have said, my thoughts are with all the people who knew him at this sad time, and I agree with Banksy that there should be a minutes applause at the next home game in the minute of his age. Can we also have a bunch of flowers on the terrace, in the spot where he lost his life, and make his family guests of honour for the game as well.
Finally unlike the other forum, this forum has given the chance for fans of other clubs to come on here as guests. Great to see fans from both Wrexham and Tranmere take the time out to pay their respects - Thank You
RIP

If someone can find out Gary's age we can have a minute applause on the time of his age during the game. Hopefully a minutes silence too. RIP Gary.

I've contacted the match day programme editor to see if we could include a photo and condolences from us all. It would be nice to do this for all Blues who pass away, depending upon family approvals of course.

Garry's family members have been on twitter today thanking the club for all the messages of condolence so I'm sure that this would really be appreciated.

I think I saw a picture of him on Facebook. Was he bald? Everyone get on your feet in the 55th minute against Eastleigh! I will. I am still saddened.
