Game should be in the bag in the first half due to amount of clear cut chances we created,

Woohoo! What a night to be a blue! Our lads were absolutely outstanding throughout and fully deserve that trophy against a very poor FC Halifax outfit. The atmosphere was electric too with us outnumbering our opponents. It really did bring the ‘feel-good’ factor back with us singing non-stop at the end along with our players too. Well done to everybody involved in our latest success, who most definitely deserve it. We have another cup final to look forward to at our very own Deva Stadium on Sunday. We’re playing against Heswall Youth at 14:30 so if you enjoyed tonight (I’m sure we all did), then get down to our place on Sunday and hope for a similar outcome. Once again though I’m thrilled with how it turned out tonight at an excellent venue. It was so refreshing. CHAMPIONES!!!

Fabulous game of football. I wouldn't agree that Halifax were poor ... we were just soooo good. Made me feel proud to watch that. Our 2 up front were magnificent and despite being pushed in the back every time they went up for the ball (unpunished by a very one-sided referee) they just got on with it. Excellent team performance and never allowed Halifax to get into any rhythm. Great character and a very muscular and skilful performance. Well done Cal and the lads.
Ps I thought there were more than 415 there.

Very proud of these lads tonight.

Thought they played fantastic, better in every department. I was very impressed with the way the midfield closed down and won the ball back the whole game, thoughly deserved victory

Halifax were no mugs. A very athletic and technically gifted group of players. Our lads were simply better organised, showed more passion and were fully deserving of their win. Superb stuff.

A massive congratulations to Calum. He and some of his excellent young players need to be full integrated 8nto the first team structure along with the new managements battle hardened players. Then the future could be really bright indeed.

Matty Waters and Tom Crawford were in the crowd.

I've seen Iwan Murray twice now (not sure if he played in the fund-raiser at Deva). On both occasions he played against big uncompromising players (BorehamWood and last night) and he doesn't give that ball up easily. Seems to be improving all the time. He's the type of player that really puts the sh1ts up defenders. His lack of inches does not seem a problem at all because he is so skilful.

Agree with all of that. Would add that we put more tackles in and our front two posed much more of a threat than the Halifax forwards.
Congratulations to all the players and staff on winning this trophy. To win the QF, SF and Final by three clear goals is a great achievement.
