A reminder that our Youth Team will face Halifax Town in the final of the National League U19 Alliance Cup.
This is the first national Final our Academy, or club, have ever reached and it promises to be a huge occasion for our players.
The final will take place at Walsall FC on Wednesday 16th May with a 7pm kick off. Throughout this cup run, the supporters have been huge in getting the lads over the line both home and away. With this in mind, the club have looked to subsidise coach travel for Chester supporters wishing to attend. The exact cost will be confirmed when numbers are known, to assist with this, supporters who wish to travel on the club coaches are asked to book ASAP. Bookings are being taken by the ticket office.
It is a landmark moment for the Youth section of the club and your support would mean the world to the players and staff. It is a great opportunity for Chester fans to turn out and back these lads.

Now that the young lads have made first team appearances, will that affect their eligibility to continue to play for the Youth team?

Booked the coach yesterday. List is quite long so let’s all get down to Walsall and back the youth team as they could write another chapter in our Academy’s outstanding recent history. COYB!

Our youth team play away at AFC Fylde today in the semi-final of the NWYA Open Cup. If they win then they will progress to the final... which is to be held at the Swansway. That will be a great opportunity to ‘make up’ for the postponed league game, so hopefully they can progress to the final today!

Our Youth team smashed AFC Fylde 8-0 away today to progress to the final at our very own Deva Stadium. They will be playing against Heswall Youth next Sunday at 14:30. With the league game against Fylde being postponed, it will be a brilliant chance to get down to the Deva and hopefully watch us pick up another trophy. Of course we still have the final at Walsall to get through first, but it will be great if we can win 2 competitions in the space of 4 days this week. COYB!

Just read on twitter there's only a handful of seats left on the supporters coach for Wednesday's game. Last chance to book your place and cheer on the young blues!

A massive thank you to everyone who has booked on the supporter's coaches or is travelling independently to Walsall tomorrow.
It is a monumental evening for everyone connected with the Youth Team, the Academy and the club. The players and staff appreciate your support and will be desperate to deliver a performance that sees this club win a National championship.
A reminder that kick off is 7pm. Admission is £2 with U16s free. Be loud and proud tomorrow.

Is the cost still £15 each? For the coach.... I believe it is being subsidised so it may well only cost in and around the £5-£10 mark.

Bring a tenner and that’ll cover it. £2 entry to factor in and you’ll even have enough for a bite to eat in the ground hopefully.

I haven’t been looking forward to a youth match as much as this before. I’ve passed the Bescot Stadium a number of times on the M6 thinking ‘I want to go there one day’, but finally I can say I’ve been there after tonight.

Good luck fellas, working myself otherwise would have been on the Hipkiss Express.
Regardless of the result, this year has been an unmitigated success for the academy. Plenty of on-field success, but the emergence of Jones and Crawford as first team regulars, and the breaking through of Brown, Thompson, Downes and Noble into the squad is the single true measure of any youth system.
I am sure that our new managers will not only be aware of this, but will embrace it.
