I'd keep Halls. H'es taken some really unnecessary shit on here and to be fair stuck with it during the toughest times of this season, put some good performances in, and, I sense helped some of the younger lads along. Akintunde does work hared but has little end product. However, if we can keep him at a good rate, might be worth seeing how he fares a league below. He does have some skill. Agree on Halls. I’ve been critical of him on here, I think he came here expecting an easy ride and seemed to be constantly gobbing off on Twitter. He’s reined that in and seems to have matured as the season’s gone on, and his performances have improved, credit where it’s due. I like Akintunde. It doesn’t come off for him every week, but he’s a good player and seems proud to play for us. I’d like us to keep hold of him, but being a Londoner he might want a move to a Conf South club if he’s dropping down to the sixth tier.

Am I reading this right !?!? People want to retain Andy Halls !?!? He is one of the worst right backs we've ever had and that's saying something ! We have to strive for better ifwe want fans to return .

Was well justified after the first half of the season. He was abysmal.

Wouldnt be adverse to him being here next Season along with Anderson, Roberts and Akintunde hopefully

He's been ok 2nd half of the season and fair play to him for not wanting that Contract after 30 games to help us out
not seen any of the senior players saying they want to stay so looks like they will all be off accept for Mahon

Been the biggest voice on the pitch for a while now and helped the youngsters through games. I said at the game today just offer him a wage cut, take it or leave it.

Regarding Halls, his role has changed and we’re actually playing to his strengths now. He’s not a right back anymore, he’s really quite limited on the ball and a full back needs some ability in that department as well as a bit of creativity and pace. He was almost given free reign to just go out and win the ball back breaking up play and then give it to somebody else today. He looked like he was loving just going around getting stuck in shoving and barging in to people, he was a bit of a pantomime villain in some respects. Had a right big grin on his face when he got booked taking one for the team.
Shouted 'Go on Hallsy' all afternoon which felt a bit strange, it was sarcasm the first few times!

If not, he could have been playing lower league football or enrolling on the Ryan Astles fitness course. No wonder he has started to show some effort, he needs a club next season.

Halls has been utterly shocking at right back most times I've seen him. I'd rather have the young lad and then recruit a proper centre midfielder in the summer. Fair play to him for waiving his contract clause, but honestly he gives me nightmares most times I see him play.

Further reflections on today.
Thought we threw in quite a decent all round performance and deserved the three points. Barrow had their moments and had their tails up when they equalised but it flattened out pretty quickly and didn’t do anywhere near enough. They’re lucky for now, not sure how long Casson will keep an interest though, certainly appears to be waning and Holker Street is the exact same scruffhole it was yonks ago.
We probably had the best of the first half but on the whole didn’t really muster much other than half chances, the goal came from a long Firth kick which found Archer racing through and he finished calmly. They equalised when Jordan White fired in an effort from just outside the box at the near post. Good strike to be fair even if the lad is a complete turd who is worse than Marouane Fellaini with his elbows. Our winner came after Crawford eventually stabbed home after Nathan Brown had set up with a dangerous ball in to the box from a deep position.
As I mentioned earlier, really good show from Andy Halls who thrived in the middle of midfield, looked like he loved being right in the thick of it getting stuck in. Crawford was good as usual and finished his goal well. Aki and Archer were a threat throughout whilst Mahon also contributed and Thomson fared admirably against much bigger lads than himself.
Only 98 of us but I will say credit to some of our younger teenage fans who although can get on my tits at times chanting on the train when I’m trying to have a kip but when faced with some Barrow fans spoiling for a fight just turned their backs and innocently kept chanting ‘We’re on our way…to the Conference North’ back down Holker Street as the Police wrestled a few ignored Barrow fans to the ground further behind.

I'd certainly keep Halls. His performances since Christmas are much improved and we need experienced guys to help the youngsters.

Halls was superb yesterday Much as I despise Halls as a full back, he could do a decent job in midfield. Worryingly, I've found myself warming to him recently. Maybe he's the next Brabin or Hicks. But I'd definitely want a clause in his contract that makes it clear that he must never play right back.

Love him or hate him Andy Halls has shown passion for the shirt in a season very lacking in many of the players we have brought in this season! He waived his 2year clause too. Like AGL I have warmed to Andy Halls over recent matches and I think his presence would be a positive next season but maybe he should cut down on the yellow cards!

Not Just Halls who will have to accept reduced wages if they stay next season, they ALL will. Our budget for next year says so! Stick with the young guns and get a few wise older heads in and we should be able to consolidate in the National/n before maybe making a playoff push the season after.

Everytime he's played in midfield just in front of the defence, he's always looked better than right back. Never really understood why he wasn't given more time in that position.
