For anyone who is wondering, Harry White has possibly got even worse than when he was impersonating a footballer for us last season. One of the worst footballers I have ever seen.

Did White play for Hereford ? If so did he look like the non league Alan Shearer ? Think non league Alan Shearer, but blind, two left feet and he’s never seen a football in his life. That’s how he looked tonight.

Another fabulous result yet again this evening which has put us in the dizzy heights of 5th place. I’m going to be brutally honest here, but the actually match was quite scrappy at times and you can argue that we didn’t play to the best of our ability. This is probably due to the fact that Hereford were rather dirty and prevented us from playing our usual passing football. Still though, I’m delighted with how it turned out as it also sees us go 8 games unbeaten with 7 clean sheets in 12.
Out of the two halves, I’d say that the first was more tighter than the second. Both teams tried to start off well but the flow of football didn’t really materialise. In midfield we made some great crunching tackles to spice things up a bit, whilst Hereford began to get into it. At times we had a couple of nervy moments defensively, although nothing came off them thankfully. Matty Hughes finished off an excellent move to put us 1-0 up, but he later hobbled off due to a poor challenge by a Hereford player. Harry White was extremely ineffective for them, which comes to no surprise after a bad spell here. On a personal note I’ve got on with him well, but he honestly can’t hit a barn door. Just before half time we should’ve been rewarded a stonewall penalty, but somehow the referee didn’t give it which lead to a hostile send-off at half time.
After the break we improved much more to get a real foothold on the game. Our shape was much better which saw us begin to press the Hereford backline. Also, our general flow of football began to get better as the half progressed. To be fair to Hereford FC, they tried to get a goal back but we held our own. I actually missed John Pritchard's goal, but I believe that he finished off a fine move to put us 2 up. It’s blatantly obvious that he is far more effective further up the pitch as he is great at bombing down the wing. Iwan Murray had another decent game too as he broke up the play really well and made some good moves. Deane Smalley improved things even more when he came on, which lead to a brilliant header to make it 3-0. At times we had a few shaky moments at the back, but I can’t really name anyone who had a bad game tonight. Grant Shenton made a superb save to keep us in the game at one point, and has kept a remarkable 7th clean sheet already.
On the whole, another enjoyable evening at Fortress Deva which extends our unbeaten home record. I am most certainly looking forward to returning in just 24 hours time for hopefully another blues win against THEM lot. We seriously need to pack the Swansway out again and show what our club is all about. Our support was great again tonight, and I’m sure that the gates will soon start to rise. You can’t really argue with us being unbeaten at home, 5th in the league and 8 matches without defeat, so come on out and get down there. Unfortunately I’ll have to miss my first match of the season on Saturday, although I really do hope that we can avoid cup shock to gain another £15,000. I will try my best to tune in with me being in Iceland, but all I’m bothered about is whether we win. Fingers crossed. Up Them Seals!

Hereford down to 10. Should point out they should be down to 9 now. Could have had a few off. The challenge on Pritchard right at the end was disgusting, potential leg breaker that was.

Shame this terrible defence keeps letting us down as well, is that most clean sheets in the league? I think now is the time for everyone to forget Blyth, if it’s still haunting anyone 😂

Had to scrap that one out tonight against a physical team but in all honesty if we had got anything less than 3 points against a limited spoiling team like Hereford then we would only have ourselves to blame. The back four were solid and the dog shit Harry White was never going to give us any issues. Mooney and Mahon were too much for Hereford all evening and Mahon in particular must be black and blue tonight after getting some naughty treatment from them. The effort as always was superb and Stopforth again was ridiculous in the amount of pressing and tackling he does. The two downsides for me are the injury to Hughes given that was already have an extensive injury list, and also Murray looked lost and out of his depth tonight. But all in all, another impressive result and I feel like we are really starting to see what these managers are about - they have got the buy in from the players on what they demand and we are adding bits of quality to go with it.
Loved those two goals in the second half. The ball from Mooney was inch perfect and it was a clinical finish from Pritchard who is showing his eye for goal. And for the second I was expecting Stopforth to smash it when he ran in to the box but he had the composure to lift his head up and clip a delightful ball to the unmarked Smalley. Brilliant stuff.

If we don’t get 2k crowd tonight some stay a way fans need To hang their heads in shame. Well it's a cold wet night Champions League on the box and it's a midweek fixture. I think it will take more than a few good results to entice the fans we lost due to the dreadful 18 months we had up to this season. They will come back but it will take time When will that be after we reach the playoffs, very fickle.

It is obvious that Pritchard is a winger or left sided midfield player. Just shows that some people on here are rather to keen to criticise and dismiss players as not good enough too early.

Hereford completely lost their discipline and that challenge just about summed it up. Disgusting tackle that was. Mahon has been scythed down on multiple occasions but the one on Pritchard was a disgrace and the referee bottled it because the game was over by that point, why would a player do that to a fellow professional in the 93rd minute when the result was decided? He should have walked for that, regardless of what minute it was in,

They had a player sent off on Saturday too.

Chester Lads Club 3 Bullshit 0
Craig Mahon has had his dancing shoes on all night so doesn’t need to get changed for the Piercy Party. He danced around the bulls like they weren’t there.
Howson is not being allowed on the decks after the shockers he chose for Cleggy’s indie disco tonight.
Jon Moran is going to be on the dance floor because for a big man he’s got some fancy footwork.
Harry White is coming down to the party. He’s asking for shots because he’s not had one all night.

Great run we're on. Shame we probably won't play another league game until 27th October. Indeed. Defensively we're on a real roll - 1 goal conceded in our last six games league & cup. We're averaging less than a goal a game against since Blyth. A lot of hard work has gone in to that clearly.

You can see why Hereford are in freefall, thuggish football will only get you so far, decent footballing teams will eventually succeed and there are a few in this division, us included. As for us tonight, another strong performance coupled with real flair in spells. The pass for Pritchard's goal was superb, if it was in the Premiership people would have been raving about it. The energy in midfield is staggering, Stopforth and Mahon in particular both of whom play like men possessed! Mahon is reborn and clearly is enjoying his football again unlike last year - then again neither players or fans were exactly ecstatic last season! We are genuinely beginning to look like contenders for a playoff spot now. If Chorley slip up, and they weren't that special on Saturday, we might even mount a challenge for the top although it may prove a step too far for us this season. Whatever, there's a real momentum building here now - who knows where that might take us over the next few weeks and months. It's great to be looking forward to our games for the first time in ages

With finishes like Pritchard’s last few goals, I wonder if he should be better used as a striker? He’s a left winger naturally. Shows how useful he may become off the bench that’s for sure, had a good cameo. Fair to say he’s better as a winger than wing back.

A tense game, but a 2-1 to the Blues. 1712 in attendance including 115 from Hereford. I predicted a draw Vs Chorley, so hope I'm on the money with this one as well. Just 7 off on the crowd and forecasted a win , albeit by a different score 👍

I think we'll win 2-0 in a relatively straight forward fashion. 1710 in attendance. Tuesday night gates are always lower, and to be honest you couldn't claim there's been much to advertise there's a game on tonight. Be interesting to see if Harry White just suffered in a very poor side last year, or whether he's just that bad. Not a bad call that jack 1705 there
