Worst left-back I've ever seen at the club, relieving Carl Regan of that honour. to be fair Jason Burham must have been close to that particular honour Regan went on to be a regular at MK Dons in League 1 and Jason was certainly one of the best-looking players in the team.

Can everyone on here agree to never mention Rowe-Turner again? Just the name sends shivers down my spine. Appalling. Worst left-back I've ever seen at the club, relieving Carl Regan of that honour. Wasn’t he a right back. Whatever he was, he played well over 300 games, most of which were in the Football League. He played for MK Dons and Bristol Rovers after leaving us so I think your criticism of him might be a bit unfair.

We had the Vaughan brothers at full back against Rochdale once, after Glenn Rule got sent off early. Lost 6-0. Regan looked like Maldini compared to them that night.

I remember us playing at Morecambe and I think Michael Twiss was playing for the them. Morecambe had 4 corners in the first half and scored from them all. James Vaughan was at left back. I wrote Williamson a letter when I got home asking him never to pick JV again and he phoned me up and said that James Vaughan played well that day. We were 4-1 down at h/t having scored first and ended up losing 5-3. We might have won that game if we could have defended corners. Some things never change. Anybody else remember this game more clearly than me.

Carl Regan was unfairly criticised by our fans. He went on to have an excellent career. Burnham was just a pretty boy who had no career at all.

Maybe he did, but he was dire for us. One of the laziest players I've ever seen. I remember one away game (Oxford I think) he watched the ball roll out for a throw against us, when he could have kept it in with a gentle jog

On the first corner we had Bentley marked by a midfield player. Can't recall who. I said to my friend "we've got the marking wrong here on Bentley". Next corner comes in, Bentley scores. Think he scored two that day. As you say, it was really poor preparation.

Elliot Durrell signs for Chester Old Boys. Or Altrincham as they’re known. Signing some players there now.

Surprised York didn't want to keep him but hearing his weight had been issue. Always been a big lad but he's always been effective in games with us.

They seem to be on a bit of a shopping spree - but only for players whose best position is on the wing it would seem.

They also had Jon Parkin playing for them for a good few seasons. Maybe they didn’t think Durrell was fat enough to play football for them?

Frankly, from what I have seen of Johnson so far, I would take Durrell any day of the week.

Can see them beating us in the play-offs. Someone mentioned Football Web Pages predicted final table which is only for a laugh really, but I took a look yesterday and it had us finishing 4th and Alty 7th, so that would be a home game against them in play-offs. Like you say they would be favourites for that as we never win a must-win game and they are a bit of a nemesis for us.

Funnily enough I did my own and had Alty finishing 4th and us finishing 7th! Had York to win the title too - they've already narrowed the gap to just one point and although Kings Lynn have three extra games that pressure may tell on them.
