Full back from Kiddy and keeper from Stockport rumoured. Anyone heard this? I hope the keeper rumour is not true as County’ s first two choices have re-signed for them which leaves third choice Dane Smith. Kidderminster however have released their keeper Brandon Hall, an England C International. I think Dane Smith is Stockport goal keeping coach and it looks like Hall has left Kiddy because of issues about travelling, and I think he lives down South so I don’t reckon either of these two are likely to be heading our way.

Steve Burr has been appointed as the assistant manager of Long Eaton United. Think that's about his level, are there any good golf shops around there, only interested in golfing jumpers. Oh, all right , I'll bite The manager who took us to our highest finish in the national league and gave us great days out in a Cup run beating Southend away and drawing at a League one club. Don't really care what he's done since but don't see hat trashing the guy achieves. The golf jumpers gag is a bit moth-eaten now anyway.

Just as well Hereford gave him such an opportunity I suppose. That gave him the time to gift us with the great McCarthy.

Hereford FC have announced a major increase to next seasons football budget. Director Mick Merrick said "We want to be in the play-offs basically, challenging for promotion. This year we are looking at a 40% increase in the football budget and that is significant". "We never discuss figures as that gives competitive advantage to other teams in the league. Look at the relationship between the gates we get and the kind of funding that we can produce and that ought to make us competitive right up to the top of the league". HFC's accounts for the year ending 31st May 2018 show that the football budget - that includes all football related wages (managers, coaches and backroom staff) players wages, signing on fees, bonuses etc was £331,000. Last season this was apparently increased to a figure in the region of £500,000 meaning that next seasons football budget should be around £700,000. I thought Hereford slashed their budget before the start of last season and players like John Mills left because of this? This would be at odds with what Mick Merrick is saying. Maybe a ploy to increase season ticket sales in the close season? They should've done a lot better last season if true. I thought they struggled because of budget cuts and their manager leaving earlydoors.

The £331,000 appears to be accurate, will have to wait until 2018/19's finances are published in detail to see if Merrick is telling the truth. Guiseley announce that Jon Worsnop, Andy Halls, Niall Heaton, Curtis Morrison and Kingsley James have left the club. Blyth manager Alun Armstrong, who recently hit out at his clubs board is expected to be named as the new manager of Darlington.

Please, no-one suggest that we get Kingsley back. Apparently someone has watched a few highlights and his stats are very good.

Please, no-one suggest that we get Kingsley back. Apparently someone has watched a few highlights and his stats are very good. The thing is players are almost always worse second time around. When it was first announced that James and Hannah were coming back almost everyone was over the moon. I can't understand the obsession with re-signing players who've played for us before. Every time as ex-player is released by another club you always get a number of people on here saying what a good signing they would be. It's about time we realised that they have been released for a reason and in most cases that reason is either because they are no good or because they are too old to play anymore.

Blyth Spartans - 'Alun Armstrong informed Blyth Spartans Association Football Club on Sunday 19 May that he intended to leave the Club while under contract. The Club is currently considering its position, taking legal advice, and will make no comment about Alun’s departure, at this stage'. BPA - 'Bradford (Park Avenue) have agreed by mutual consent that Mark Bower will leave his role as First-Team Manager with immediate effect'. CFC - Close to signing two players but miss out on - 'Cheshire Live understands that the Blues had held tentative discussions with FC Halifax Town attacker Matty Kosylo over a potential move but he has decided that he wishes to remain at National League level for next season.' www.cheshire-live.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/chester-fc-close-two-signings-16308974

A former Nantwich player.

Billy W it’s a shame it seems he’s decided to stay and play conference football as from what I’ve seen of him he would be very good addition for us.

John Pritchard has re-signed for Ashton United. I maybe in the minority but quite liked him just a bit too lightweight sadly for this level all the best at Ashton

Good mates with new signing Joel Taylor by the looks of his twitter timeline, from their time at Stoke together. I’d have Alabi here all day, doubt it’ll happen though. Probably get a lower NL club interested.

He didn't seem to excel at Tranmere under Mickey Mellon.......
