Everyone banging on about Alabi won't be here next season, unless a big non league club come in for him he won't be going anywhere as he's certainly not up to league standard.

Does Macca feel he uses his budget wisely.? We have killick I've never seen him play .O'Brian he must not fancy him .Davies got a sweet left foot never seen it.marsh what a player don't even make the bench .George injured or suspended .We are led to believe they don't earn a big wage even at £200 a week there is enough to have brought in a decent right back and a striker or even two wingers .We have a left footed wing back playing right back and it is soon sussed out does he not like Matty waters? or maybe we see the game differently than our manager

A league club has already been in for him. Yeah and when they didnt get him they signed someone else so doubt they'll be back in for him

A lot of people thought Seann McConville wasn't league standard and what a mistake Accrington had made by signing him. He's not doing too bad a job for them. Potential wise I would class James Alabi as miles ahead of someone like McConville.

Barrow's highlights:
The offside is at 54 seconds, actually much closer than I thought at the time. Hard to tell from that angle but looks like he could be in line after all. Linesman looks to be behind play though, but maybe the only big decision they got right all game then. No replay of the penalty incident strangely.

Not wishing to be negative but watching the video Alabi gave me the imprssion he couldn't be bothered, seemed to show little effort, moreso that watching the actual match last night. He may have been unwell or carrying a knock (giving him the benefit of the doubt)

Looks to be level on the video, don't know why Hudson didn't follow him in to at least put a bit of pressure on.

I'm inclined to agree with you. He is a bit of an enigma in that he looks so good when he has the ball at feet and running at defences but in some games he looks poor. He still can't use his physical attributes to his advantage, his heading is weak for a centre forward and he can be marked out of the game. I accept he doesn't get the best of service but this league seems to be his level so hope we can keep him.

I said it at the time, i don't think the first goal was a definite offside like most were saying. The penalty was another I'm not convinced the officials got wrong, their defender did get a foot on the ball but the questions is whether or not he went through the player to get it - seen them given though. The ref's reason for not giving it was that he defender got the ball.
That said every other decision they pretty much got wrong, they really were poor overall and let Barrow walk all over them.

Hudson looked and played like he had filled his pants last night and Alabi looked like he had lead legs jumped about an inch off the ground

Didn't look offside to me if you freeze frame and use the line in the grass as a guide

Definitely a tight one to call and it is tough for the lino's in those situations.
That said, he was behind play and was in no position to make a 100% confident call either way. He found himself behind play yet again for another close decision about 10 minutes after their first goal.
Tough one to call but compounded by poor positioning.

So if the linesman isn't 100% confident either way, the striker gets the benefit of the doubt.
What I cant understand is, we don't press teams like mad up front we sit back because of the lack of pace of Hudson and Astles at the back, or so JM alluded to the other week, so my question is how on earth did we get caught out so far up the pitch?

Watched the video a few times . . . looked in line for the first goal to me. Never a penalty the Richards incident.

I bet Maca didn't bother making a complaint about the officials in his report.

Not well said Rio. It's not a good sign when the manager starts criticising the fans. If you start alienating the fan base you are on a slippery slope.
