As there are only 4 houses down the lane I live in plus the fact it is unadopted and goes no where. People are something we don't see many of. I find my self looking forward to seeing the milkman, postman, and the bin men. I think I'm cracking up.

Got a leaflet through the door earlier this week, one of the neighbours trying to organise a VE day "street" party wanting us all to sit in the safety of our own front gardens. A few have already put the bunting out, weather looking good, got some beers in, might give it a go.

I know what I’ll be doing tomorrow to mark the end of WWII which, of course, the Soviet Union won by defeating the Nazis.
I’ll be sat in the sun in the back garden with a few beers and reading The Communist Manifesto by Marx and Engels.

Little steps but had a great day's fishing today. Everyone kept to the rules in fact more like 15 metres apart. Good to get out.

Anyone with kids been out and about anywhere different than what they had been? I’d love to take my daughter to Eastham or for a walk along New Brighton but I imagine there are plenty with the same idea which kind of defeats the point.

I think if you pick your time it's possible not to see too many people. I find early morning. Lunch time. And 5 o'clockish is quieter. Because that's the other thing we do in lock down. Eat.

I ordered a new garden swing seat at 2 o'clock yesterday polish bloke knocking on the door half an hour ago delivering the seat. Service or what. That's tomorrow's job sorted.

Had a game of tennis today. Great to get the competitive juices flowing again. On the times I’ve been out and about the majority are following social distancing guidelines, which makes me feel a bit more at ease about heading out.

I have been fishing today. My favourite lake reopened at 8 o'clock this morning. Gweryd lakes in Llanarmon _yn_ial. The highest fishing lake in Wales. Absolute brilliant a great escape from lockdown. And two 7lb brown trout included in the bag. Highly recommended

I had a few pints at a mates house and then got behind the wheel to drive home. When the policeman stopped me I just said I was testing if I was too pissed to drive.

This thread is very quiet have you all gone back to work. I'm quite exited today as I am going out to buy some new shoes and trainers twice daily walks have played havoc with the ones I've got. Actually managed to cut the back hedge it took me two days. Its 14ft high and 60 ft long. More fishing tomorrow so all in all a busy week

I'm hoping to be able to play squash again soon but not sure how likely that is. Been playing tennis which is allowed. I nipped down to Cheshire Oaks yesterday, surprisingly pleasant given the apparent chaos of day 1.

Similarly I’ve been as busy as ever with work - both on site and from home, including working the Covid-19 swabbing tent at the CoCH site at weekends. All hands to the pump in the NHS.

Where would you normally play squash. I refurbished the gym at raf Sealand a few years back and as I recall they had several squash courts there. Still there apparently

Never stopped working, I’ve been mad busy all Lockdown. Fair play to you helping keeping the economy going I trust you have managed to keep you and your family safe I’m a Highways Engineer and have been working at home a lot since the start of lockdown. Have to visit site a couple of times a week but social distancing has been relatively easy. Work has changed a lot though, now doing mostly Covid19 related stuff: setting up mobile testing stations for key workers with the Army, doing stuff with the NHS to manage traffic generated by their testing sites (hot and cold sites run from local medical centres), managing traffic at household waste sites as social distancing rules there mean that queue lengths are enormous. Lately I’ve been drawing up plans for pop-up cycle lanes and removing bottlenecks for pedestrians in town centres and parks so people can keep 2m apart. Very disheartening to see that many people can no longer be arsed to do this and the Dominic Cummings episode seemed to be the catalyst for this change in attitudes. Overnight, when the story broke you could see its impact. Half of my staff have been seconded to deal with people sheltering, especially those already isolated. Heard some harrowing stories but the Authority I work for have been first class in helping the most vulnerable, despite it being one of the most deprived in the country. Family are all well, touch wood, but my wife works in a tiny green grocers and it is almost impossible for customers to keep 2m apart. To be honest it’s given me more than a few sleepless nights. Anyway, that’s enough of my waffle, hope you and yours are well and staying safe.

I presume you don't work in Wales my daughter and her family are shielding and receive only letters extending the shielding time. I'm doing their shopping at 75 years of age. Times like this I wish I'd never left england

I work for a company in construction that work for many social housing providers, local councils and new build housebuilders. I've been furloughed for 14 weeks now. Whilst a few of our new build sites are back open, we are not able to go into any occupied properties which is 70% of our work, so we have imminent return to work on the horizon. My wife works in catering at the Countess and my son and his girlfriend (who lives with us) both work in a supermarket so we are having to keep away from our parents which is tough. Also gives us a few worries, but my wife has had her antibody test come back negative (mandatory for all NHS staff) so so far so good.
A few things I have learned from lockdown.
i) Family is EVERYTHING. I would give anything to hug my Mum right now. ii) I don't enjoy TV. Apart from the Repair Shop. That is wonderful. Cant settle to box sets, cant watch a film and Premiership football *TM lasted two minutes. iii) I miss football is a live sport / social event. Give me a friendly at Flint Town Utd over any of this fake fan TV cack. iv) I love Chester FC. From the wonderful Community Trust, to the utterly brilliant take up of the Boost A Budget, this club is great. It has its many faults, but its ours. I have been able to commit a little time to volunteering over lockdown, and have loved every minute of it #utfs v) People in general are kind, and that should never be seen as a weakness. vi) 5 adults into 1 bathroom over lockdown doesn't work.
Be safe all, see you all at Flint.

Where would you normally play squash. I refurbished the gym at raf Sealand a few years back and as I recall they had several squash courts there. Still there apparently I play for Neston, based at the cricket club which has recently been renamed The Neston Club. Played at loads of courts in the area but wasn’t aware there was any at RAF.
