Personally think this one is a step too far. It only works in the top leagues around the world because they’re being televised. Plus I don’t think my wife would want two of me sat in the living room - ones bad enough! Looking forward to receiving my retro shirt though and hoping another comes out later in the year. I've heard that your wife would be only too pleased to swap a cardboard cutout for the actual you 😛

We could have cut outs of our favourites like Terry Smith, Vaughan mob, Duke of Westminster and....?

Even if this idea doesn't get past first base as a cardboard cut out I think there is still scope to include it as an incremental sales idea for season ticket holders to personalise their seat or as a memory to a deceased love one in the form of a vinyl sticker on the seat back.

I'd be interested, though I don't have a picky of me clutching a Chester Pie

We've done it at my club here in Norway.

Apologies if I have missed this information, but what exactly will the cutouts look like? What are they made of? I'm assuming they are life-size, in colour and from the waist up so they prop on seats. The club site asks for a head and shoulders picture only. Does that mean that they are all put on a standard body, which would presumably be last/this season's kit? Is it possible to be shown in a retro kit or t-shirt? One or two on here have mentioned celebrity faces, and other clubs seem to do this. Is this something that can be done?

The cut-outs are made of Foamex and are colour. They are 2' x 1' and fixed to the seats using cable ties. We require good quality head and shoulder photographs which the printing company will tweak as needed to get the finished design. We're using the same supplier as Cheltenham Town who put together a great video...

I've paid for me and Harry McNally for this although if the latter isn't possible for any reason I'm happy with it covering extra pies and pints (glasses of red for Harry of course), but the thought of me sitting next to him was just too good to pass up, and if it is possible to do I also get a lifesize Harry to keep and to take with me to future games too - in the Harry Mc of course

Having already subscribed to the boost the budget I'm a tad confused regarding the cardboard cut out of fans idea , surely by being 7th we will not be playing any games at home so why fill the stand with them 🤔

Might be wrong but I think the idea might extend into next season when there are likely to be social distancing measures in place - so we will need to have spaces between seats - so the cut outs could remain in place.

Several reasons but primarily because it's a secure venue which gives us greater control from a safety perspective.

By attaching a product, ie a cardboard cutout, to a fund raising exercise, are we not in danger of attracting the attention of the VAT man or woman and end up losing 20% to HMRC

Is there any progress on this? Not really. There so much uncertainty around when football will return and what crowds will look like when it does that we're unable to give too much consideration to this at the moment.

All a bit of daft fun - if it gets some money to the club (and I guess helps someone’s employment somewhere in the process) then I can’t see a problem, respecting of course that not everyone has the money available. The way I have looked at it is that if we did well in the play offs how much would I have spent on the game days .... On a soppy note I might take my late old man for One last game together. On a less soppy note, not sure if/how it is restricted but so far I have spotted/ seen online Michael Jackson, several Chris Kamaras, a Harold Shipman and a Jimmy Saville in crowds 🙃
