If I'm honest he's not even that funny. And digging "the Tories" out at every opportunity is 100% bringing politics into it. We all know there are people from all sides of the political compass who support the club so why take the opportunity to sow division? As I said, I think it was more a joke about FOP always bringing politics into it. In any case, I'd say its better to bring politics in than to bring deadly disease into it!

No offence was meant to any cancer sufferers of course. Though I'm not sure how they would manage to take any offence from my comment.

Not sure there are many people who support cancer so I'd say having a pop at cancer is less likely to offend.

Anyone watching Brackley v Gateshead? The heed went 1-0 up on 45+5mins then Brackley equalised straight from the kick off, goalie had no chance.

So does this mean that any surplus from the Play Off funding can be put towards next years budget now?

Doubt there'll be any surplus but I'd imagine so.

So, let's summarise.
Mancot posts about donating but not being named in the programme. None issue
Oaks then ribs Mancot saying it was a tory proof reader who checked the programme for errors. People laughed and liked the post
Stortford blue completely misses the joke and makes a complete and utter tit out of himself. More people laugh, before getting angry at his attempt to join the banter.
You literally couldn't make it up

The Nazis were defeated in 1945 mate. That's also irrelevant to the previous conversation so if you had an issue would have probably been better sent via DM.

Doubt there'll be any surplus but I'd imagine so. 18k+ raised by fans, 4k from the PL, 1k + % of live stream subscriptions. Most likely that we’ve made a profit.

Surely we should have a surplus ? are we only paying for the game and testing we played or all of them ?

Surely we should have a surplus ? are we only paying for the game and testing we played or all of them ? Surely the best way to spend any surplus is to pay for any testing required for friendlies played during August. This would give us a chance to prepare properly for next season and hit the ground running and get a head start on rival clubs.

If there is a surplus from the inittogether pot then we should think of the players, it was a great gesture to play for free from the lads but it doesn't sit right with me as the employer to see employees without wages if the company has made a profit.

Appreciate that and I felt the same way until someone pointed out that the players were furloughed on full pay, including two months (May and June) when we wouldn’t normally be paying them as they are only contracted during the weeks of the season. So - two months pay when they wouldn’t normally have any; donated one of those months back to the club. If anything they’ve gained a months pay they wouldn’t normally have had at the end of it all.

For obvious reasons the fund raising for the play offs has stalled since Sunday. The £10 raffle idea however is a really good one and gave the fund a bit of a boost at the end of the appeal.
Surely the best thing to do would be to attach the raffle to the 'Boost the Budget' campaign in order to maximise the uptake rather than just letting it die a death in the 'Inittogether' campaign which is now stagnant.
Don't get me wrong the less people who enter the better chance I've got of winning a prize, but it would be a shame if this fund raising initiative failed to raise any more money due to no one visiting the play off fund-raising page.

Apparently they are picking up cheques today. Would that be the furlough payment.

Apparently they are picking up cheques today. Would that be the furlough payment. I think the players had to come off furlough to play and train (I don’t think you can ‘work’ for your employer and claim furlough) I also think to avoid tax,NI & breach of contract issues with the contracted players, they were all paid in full and have then agreed to donate their wages back to the club. I guess that from last Monday they have returned to the furlough scheme, with the under contract players possibly having their salaries topped up to 100%, as I guess from the 1st July their pay will have restarted. i think.....
