Providing he can get over the culture shock, after living in Chester and Nottingham, that's a good move for Tom. He was never going to come back to us.

Can play in the centre too Don’t think he’s ever played in a midfield two before.

Good news - he can get game time before coming home to the Blues the following season

Theo Vassell, another Chester old boy, signed for our neighbours over the border Grrrrr. It’s turning out to be a tough month watching all these moves take place It would be nice to have some news and we have to trust in BM and AJ, I know how you feel and I have to kick myself up the ass at times and just remind myself of the current situation. We are a fan owned club with no sugar daddies and half of last years budget has been ripped away from us add to that next season we are looking at a reduced capacity and it brings it home. Lets hope some of the trialist spark at the Radcliffe game and we can get some deals done for all our sakes. Just out of interest what ever happened to the lad from the isle of man last season ? would he be worth a punt now ?

To answer Forever Blue's query, the lad from the IoM is Rhys Oates and he's still with Peel AFC

It does wind me up at times how the likes of Dave Powel seem privy to this information before it is released from the club, any information should come from the club first and then reported in the press but golden balls seems to have a scoop. Oh and before you all start he maybe a fan but he is also reporter in a local rag so what gives him the right to twitter or report information before before us a fan owned club know it first ?

It is very normal practice for local sports papers to be fair, there’s got to be a good relationship between club and reporter. Having said that the whole Taylor thing was quite strange and not what DP normally does - a tweet at the crack of dawn and naming the clubs, but unusual and not sure what happened there. Must have had assurances that it was a nailed on transfer. Hope Taylor starts well and we do cash in early this season, be a real shame if he ends up leaving on a free next summer.

These deals leak out all the time, usually with good reason. Maybe to start a bidding war. In this case the Harrogate manager has been a bit precious, probably because the money they are offering is short of our valuation. I won't lose sleep upsetting Harrogate Town. In any case it's the job of a decent reporter to ferret out this type of information, rather than just get spoon fed press releases. I don't see that any harm has been done.

I disagree that no harm has been done. Let’s remember the innocent victim Joel Taylor who has lost the chance of a good career move.

How can you say that? He may now be on the radar of other clubs who are more willing to pay his worth. He could end up making a better career move than Harrogate.

Unless he has a complete meltdown he will get a better move sooner or later. There's a reason this didn't happen and it's nothing to do with a report in the Chronicle. Do you think Messi's move to Man City, or PSG, will be wrecked by reports in the press that he's leaving Barca? 😁

This is my worry lets hope we don't have an unhappy player on our hands because of a local rag leak.
