You absolutely knew beyond any doubt that 2-2 would become 2-3.

He's got to go. Along with about 12 players. Not fit to wear the shirt.

Macca. Do the decent thing and walk.
You've lost the plot. Walk and let us get someone in to sort this lot out.
Seriously our form is beyond a joke now. This is a serious drop in form particularly at home. When we all complain about dropping attendances and then don't win a home game in 2017.. Buck stops with you sorry Jon.

It is beyond a joke. It would take a bizarre set of results to send us down, not impossible, but very unlikely. However, if we stay up I believe that he has to go, as he doesn't seem to have any ideas to fix what has gone wrong, or even that it has gone wrong.

At least Wrexham are beating York now! Can today get any worse Let's not kid ourselves, Wrexham have done us a huge favour today. Thanks to the goal difference, we're safe if any two from Torquay, York, Braintree and Guiseley lose another game, and for that reason alone, I think we'll be alright.

At least they seemed to try more today. Yet still got beat at home against a relegation threatened team. Can't get a win at home, this is a bad run which shows no signs of ending.

McCarthy must go! Bignot in! [br Wishful thinking but would be great for the club. We actually played okay in spells today and fell apart last 5 minutes. We have to win these games against poor sides, we started off lucky not to be two down. We start games the wrong way and don't get results. We don't need champagne football, we just want results and points. We don't get either!

I've never, ever been one to call for a manager's head (and after almost 50 years watching the blues it's often been tempting), but it is crystal clear we have to dispense with the services of JM now. And that's because we're nailed on for relegation next season if he stays - partly because he clearly has completely failed in the second half of the season (and the effect of momentum is enormous), but actually mostly because the effect him staying will have on the club's finances. Put simply, him staying will drive season ticket sales down to previously unheard of levels, because only the hardest of hard core will want to renew their season tickets in the face of such a prolonged run of losing games at home (the worst in my time watching the club, I'm inclined to believe). At the start of the run we were losing narrowly to obviously better teams - Tranmere, Macc etc (though how Macc have a better side than us is beyond me) - but we're now routinely losing to teams below us. I went to Torquay, where we could easily have lost to ten men, and Forest Green, where we were utterly outclassed. There is clearly no 'resilience' in this team as he puts it (any side can run around a lot and still lose), and our continued failure to hold out in the lest few minutes of games speaks to poor game management, fragile confidence, and perhaps even a lack of basic fitness. On top of that his judgement regarding players seems at the very least odd; Hudson is a just-about-adequate centre-back, for example.
So - Mr Maguire - you made a huge mistake giving him a two and a half year contract (which was madness; our club shouldn't be giving Jose Mourinho a two year contract), but the mark of a competent executive is to understand when you've made a mistake and correct it. If we have to use some of the rainy day money to pay him off then so be it (look to mitigate it, if you know what that means); hopefully we'll get that back from the sale of Sam and we're back to where we where - so a missed opportunity, but at least with the appointment of a new manager with an air of excitement and optimism around the club for next season - keeping JM just puts us in a self-fulfilling doom loop. There's no guarantee a new manager will be successful, but there's a very high degree of probability that JM won't be.

Getting really sick of conceding late goals, a perfect chance today to end the win drought at home. We go 2-1 up on 83 mins and then lose the game, its so so typical of this team.

Davies needed that goal, has been pretty ineffective today otherwise Yeah, the kid isn't a wing back so god knows why he has started there he's been done for pace a lot first half. George playing well today again. That's a fair point. Once he got going he reminded me a bit of Durrell, tried to play the killer ball every time he got the ball, and had a good delivery. Saying that the midfield as a whole seemed a bit of a free for all today

It was telling to me that after Durrell scored, all the players bar Shaw (from where I could see) got in the huddle and acted like we'd won the league. There's definitely a mentality there which needs changing, only a few minutes left in a tight game, be professional and see out the game, don't get lost in the moment

Gutted, a draw would have been enough. Draw would've been fine all things considered. I think this was billed too much as a "must win" game when it was more of a "mustn't lose" game.

I've said it before - as a club we appear to have a culture or setup where we can't, won't or are too scared to make the tough decisions - it's going to cost us dearly
