Pitiful performance in a match that most teams would have won. Alabi not with us next year? Where is he going Altrincham ? Worst player on the pitch by miles . Davies great header but couldn't beat a lame tortoise. Shaw not arsed. George played well but again no pace Joyce - best game I've seen him play. McCarthy subs him. Couldn't see out an easy home win. Haven't missed a game for years Will give B. Wood a miss. Can

Ridiculous that we find ourselves with a limited centre midfielder playing at right wing back and god knows what Davies position is supposed to be but it sure isn't left wing back. Yes we played better today but Woking let us play from the back and didn't really close is down, yet we have still list the game. Garry Hill must be laughing his tits off. This might be a controversial one but I'm starting to worry about Lynch, I just don't think he commanding enough and I've never been a believer in small goalkeepers. I like Lynch a lot but he is a target for every team on set pieces, I remember Tranmere at home they bombarded him with pressure on every corner, since the pen even teams not great on set plays are right on top of him, he doesn't seem to command this area well and teams on to it as a weakness. He makes some great saves and has saved us a lot, finding himself under a lot of pressure but it's a worry. Roberts looked class in that spell he had, it's a shame he got that injury.

And you forgot to mention Durrell with his stupendous backheels all game that did nothing

Not just against chester!! Lynch comes under alot of pressure every game cos of the amount of work he gets thru far two many corners crosses an free kicks to deal with really i think midfeild gets cut open to easy so pressure on the back for an lynch is to high

Surprised at how many people on here thought we bossed the game !!! Had that been a boxing match, the ref could have stopped it at any time during the first 25 mins. We were lucky that we never went a goal down in that time, as they had the chances to bury us.

Yet again Macca more concerned about how the opposition are setup and putting out another unfamiliar formation and playing players out of their natural position. All too familiar to how we were before Burr was sacked, which is disappointing considering Macca said he would only ever keep it simple and play 442. Woking could and should have been 2 or 3 up in the first 30 mins, but a combination of luck and poor finishing helped us out there. The free kick for their first goal looked harsh after their player threw himself in the air, but dire defending from the resulting free kick cost us. We got a great headed equaliser from Davies pretty quickly and from then on it looked like we would be the team to go on to win. Akintunde looked lively and showed exactly what we've been missing when his turn and run setup our second goal. I thought we would go to add to our tally but then Woking went and nicked an unlikley equaliser after getting more joy down our left side. At this point we should have brought on Hunt to stem the tide, but in true Chester style we self destruct and give away a soft pen. Woking didn't deserve to win, but I've lost count how many times we've thrown away a lead this year surely they can't all be down to bad luck?. We seriously lack the guile and know how to see our games. We can't even hold out for draws ffs! Alabi has been poor for a few games now and looks worn out and a little disinterested if I'm being honest. I'd really like to know what the problem is with Alabi. He has steadily deteriorated over the past few games. Injury? He is clearly on his way at the end of the season ,and consequently doesnt give a toss

There was one thing that summed up how inept our management team are. After somehow surviving the first 20 minutes, mostly due to poor finishing from Woking, Alabi won a corner (after a hoof forwards, obviously)
Four players then had a discussion about who should stay back. How can we not know what we are doing from the first corner of the game?
And don't get me started on the master plan of having everyone back to defend every set piece

I knew that win at Torquay was massive, and it seems even more so now. Torquay are featuring heavily in our likelihood of avoiding the drop. It looked bleak on the live table when Braintree were ahead, but they fought back to win.
I see deadly Derek Asamoah scored for Guiseley against Tranmere yesterday. I hadn't realised he had dropped down to our league. I would love to have seen him alongside Alabi this season.

He's getting on a bit, turning 36 in a couple of weeks, but we are a bit short of experience.

According to soccerbase Asamoah has featured in 13 league games for Guiseley (starting seven) since January and yesterday was his first goal. Big fan of his when he was here but I'm not so sure he would have been the answer to our problems now if those stats are anything to go by - would have certainly been a welcome alternative to Richards though.
