I'm always interested to see who other teams sign, so thought I'd start a thread so we can keep track of the opposition. I see that Fylde have brought in ex Scotland striker Stephen Dobbie as player coach. Now 38, I think, but been prolific in the Scottish championship for Queen of the South. Also brought in Luke Joyce from Port Vale.

Surprised Bauress opted for Bala...are they paying better money than us? Probably the chance to play alongside ex-Premier League and international (played at Euro 2016) with over 600 English league appearances, Dave Edwards in midfield, for a club competing in the Europa League. But if they’ve also got Edwards and Paul Rutherford I suspect the answer to your question is “yes”. All those things combined, basically. Dave Edwards said playing in Europe was a big part of his decision to sign for them.

They'll make money from this I reckon, as he's far too talented for this division and some Conference/League club will buy him soon enough.

Surprised with Cameron Mason going Southport, should be playing league football I'm amazed by this. They'll make money from this I reckon, as he's far too talented for this division and some Conference/League club will buy him soon enough. It's an odd one. In April he was due to join Chesterfield on loan for the rest of the season. That fell through at the last minute because (apparently), Curzon decided they wanted a loan fee on top of his wages to complete the move which resulted in Chesterfield pulling out. The next day the player and club agreed that his contract would be cancelled at the end of the season in order for Mason to 'fullfil his dream of fulltime football'. This was announced publicly around April 14th and yet he now finds himself at a part time club. Midfielder Alex Purver joins Darlington, Defender Ethan Stewart joins Alfreton. Forward Kieran Cook joins Leamington. Defender Daniel Leadbitter joins Gloucester. Harriers manager and assistant Russ Penn and Jimmy O’Connor extend their contracts until June 2023.

Do we get 5000 pounds as well as I believe part of the transfer to Chesterfield was the payment if the avoided relegation?

Danny Elliot probably finding his level there with Boston....
I can see our squad sharing out the goals; Waring, Dudley, Stephenson etc all look to bag 8-10 each would be fine.
I don’t think a 20 goal a season striker exists within our budget unless we punt for someone way down the pyramid or even league of wales etc.
Quietly confident for this season, I think some people on here forget we were playoffs v Alty and then top 5 in that weird little fan less season.

Qualifying for the playoffs is the easy bit it’s winning them that’s the hardest thing we will be facing a lot of bankrolled teams on big budgets so we need to be as strong as we can manage to be,.

Greg Draper has ended up at Guilsfield. Shame that, always thought he was worth a punt in this league, but at 31 now he’s missed the boat.

Danny Elliott seems a very interesting one. His goal record suggests he’s a good striker and the reaction from Boston and Hartlepool fans also suggest he’s a big name signing. I wonder why we didn’t offer him new terms last season or at least try and bring him back this season. He also scored for Boston last night.

Great attitude and has the pace to trouble teams but the penny never quite dropped for him with us. I'm not sure he has that natural strikers instinct, he always seems like he has to work really hard for his goals, whereas the Ross Hannah and Asante's of this world could often have a quiet game but had the knack of finding space in the box when it mattered. I'd have been happy enough to see him back as I do think there's more to come, but equally I'm not too fussed as I think we'll have goals throughout the team and I'd rather see LMH given a fair go rather than waiting for Elliott to mature.

Imo the managers had seen enough. He's mid 20s now. I found him incredibly frustrating..looked like he has all the attributes but far too often gave defenders an easy ride. I still think we need a forward but I'm happy to take a punt on someone else. Let's face it if he was any good he wouldnt be leaving a club that's promoted to league two and dropping down two divisions (and not even to one of the better teams). Popular at Hartlepool for scoring in the penalty shoot out, not for anything else. Having said all that hope he does well. Comes across as a nice guy
