You bore me The budget has been increased, it's been stated at least 10 times across this forum. We've cut costs in other areas ie. Assistant to increase the playing. 'Worse players' doesn't make much sense Barry, seeing as they are the same players. If anything you should be saying 'equally poor' although the two mentioned are probably cheap options for us to sign players such as Astles and White for next year.

Please convince me we are not going backwards. As I see it we attracted far more exciting players in years gone by. There was a buzz about the place with arrivals, including Ben Mills and AntoninSarcevic to name but two. I'm NOT referring to their subsequent performances, just the anticipation. Now, even the recruitment of past players seems beyond us. I would love to see Dom Collins back here alongside Ryan Astles, but as we are stuck in the crazy zone between part-time and full-time we have an extremely limited appeal. Last year, with someone of nil experience as a manager, we had to wait to fill the ranks with discards unwanted by anyone else. We've only managed to sign early this year because we've resigned some of these or bring in injury suspects. Not one scrap of excitement as yet. im not holding my breath!!

Us Chester fans are deluded if we think we're gonna stay up Were simply not going to be good enough , however we deserve it . WUM. Very poor attempt at trying to look like a Chester fan.

Seems crazy to me to talk about the buzz of players signing, like Mills and Sarce, then in the same statement, say you'd love us to re-sign Dom Collins, who has never been good enough at this level.

Interesting comment that you say Dom Collins has "never been good enough at this level". You could definitely say that about most of the team who played for Chester since Christmas. And yes, throw in the manager whilst you're at it! The sad reality is Collins would probably turn down an offer from Chester anyway! Sounds like you're excited and looking forward to the buzz you'll get watching some quality play next season from the dynamic duo of Joyce and George. I'm sure the great motivator McCarthy will yet again inspire a fabulous season from the pair of them. p.s. I think the comments on Hunt and Durrell are ominous.

He hasn't hence why nobody has picked him up. Durrell and Hunt were disruptive in the dressing room and affecting the squad, not all football is about what you see on the field. For what it;s worth i'm worried about next season, but given we have half a squad do far i'll reserve judgement until is ee what the squad is looking like in June/July

Well I'm glad somebody was disruptive in the dressing room! Pity it didn't inspire any decent output. Can't imagine McCarthy being disruptive. He was obviously very satisfied with the totally inept performances, as he told us time and time again!

A pity that McCarthy doesn't follow suit instead of getting rid of one of his better players.

Dover have signed Jamie Allen from Southport Faced with an impossible task of replacing Ricky Millers goals next season, can't see Dover doing much personally. Chairmans attitude isn't great either, won't be long before they go belly up!

Two cracking signings by Salford to be fair. Looks like they'll be strong title contenders for next season with signings of that calibre.
