Noticed Kevin Roberts got Halifax's first.
Almost 8,000 at that game, including nearly 2,000 from Chorley.

Glad Halifax beat Chorley, decent away trip to the Shay.
Ebbsfleet, like Fylde will no doubt be splashing the cash now.
Let's hope Tranmere stay down with us and FGR go up!

I would like to wish Forest Green Rovers F.C the best of luck tomorrow against Tranmere. C'mon The Little Club On The Hill Green Army!! I hope you're all deliriously blind drunk on the way home to Gloucestershire, after beating Tranmere at Wembley. I hope the Tranmere are crying in their t-shirts. Floods of tears

Hard to work out how good Halifax are at present. They ended the season strongly but then didn't win any of their three play-off matches in normal time. Pleased we are playing them rather than Chorley though.

My Facebook page is full of people jumping on the Tranmere bandwagon today. I reckon I've been to more matches involving Tranmere than most of them have over the last couple of years!
Tranmere are a funny club. I wouldn't say they have the most committed or passionate of supporters, but it does seem like the whole Wirral gets behind them if they're about to go up or down. There isn't the same sense of a town being behind the club in Chester.

It does help when your ground is easily accessible, not hidden down the arse end of an industrial estate with piss poor parking and no pubs near by.

It does help when your ground is easily accessible, not hidden down the arse end of an industrial estate with piss poor parking and no pubs near by. I think there's a few reasons for it, definitely the out-of-town nature of the ground doesn't help us although that's the situation with just about any ground built in the last few decades. I think the sense of Scouse/Merseyside identity is a bit stronger than the West Cheshire one as well. It would be good if we could just get a few more people in Chester to at least take an interest in the club even if they're not going to the game every week.

I know about 10 people who used to goto the game, even local away ones. They'd now rather just follow Liverpool from the armchair.

Good game. 3 quality goals, one defensive mistake. Couple of chances missed for tranmere at 1-1 which maybe crucial. Also a great save from the trannies keeper. Next goal crucial (most obvious statement this year!) Looking forward to 2nd half.

The good thing about this game is that whoever loses it will be quite funny.

I thought Mekki (no 7)had a good game for Tranmere at our place the last two seasons, but can't see him on team sheet or bench)

Forest Green well worth the win they seem to heading for. I looked younger than Tranmeres MC Nulty at 50! How old is he?

Great news for the blues budget, no long trip to Gloucestershire, and £1000s worth of extra gate reciepts from Tranmere fans. Still detest hobby clubs though

FGR might be a 'horrible club' but I get a bit of smug satisfaction seeing Cook, Davies and Norwood missing out.

According to BBC Sport, the attendance was only 18,801 - very poor, I guess Wembley, only 20% full, would have felt like a morgue
I think a neutral ground e.g Villa Park would've been better for everyone but of course there's the Wembley factor etc

That was a funny watch. A great game with Forest Green well worth the win, but the Tramps bottle it again. Good luck in the football league FGR, but it's great to have the derby for the third year in a row with one of the best away days in the league.
