A couple of weeks old but it shouldn't go unnoticed that the Tranmere game passed off peacefully. Hopefully ammunition for burst the bubble. Here's hoping.

Oh he got some constructive advice from beginning to end as did an old friend of yours a certain Mr Newton. I am sure the constructive advice is still ringing in their ears 🤐🤐

Er, we played 28 games in Europe. Won 10, lost 10 and drew 8. Pretty impressive stats if you ask me. And now your going to train on a Sunday league pitch what next ground sharing with St Asaph FC A couple of seasons ago Chester were training on a piece of waste ground full of smashed glass and syringes with no planning permission. The sad truth is both clubs are in a similar position we just have a little bit more money that gives us a glimmer of hope (let's face it probably vain hope barring a miracle) we can somehow go up. We've been down here for almost ten years and may have to settle for a few more but will you be any different? At the moment it's still more likely you'll exit in the other direction every season.

Which could have gone towards getting in better players, and improving your squad.

Which could have gone towards getting in better players, and improving your squad. This is totally separate. For next season Weve got the normal budget, bolstered by build the budget as well as the money we are getting from various player sales. But we should have declined the offer of a free team building trip to Portugal? For some matter of principle? Ok...

You've completely missed the point, you have a squad of under performing players, put together by your last manager in the main, who have let you the supporters down in another poor season considering your budget. You would rather the manager took them away for a few days team building, which will in the end only benefit their sun tan, rather than adding that money to improving the squad, improving the ground or facilities to your own supporters Each to their own

Macron are paying for the trip and we will be playing another team they sponsor. There is no money that could be put to another use. Any money for the stuff you mention is completely separate to this. None of the clubs money will go on this trip. The players who have underperformed this season are largely going to be 'punished' by not getting new contracts. The team that goes to Portugal is going to be a completely new squad. This trip was agreed a long time ago (originally it was going to be Italy) I'm not sure what the point of reneging on that deal would be. There isn't much to criticise really.

To be fair, I am extremely jealous of this. There's always a large contingent of Chester fans following England home and away and I amongst plenty of others would love to watch Chester abroad. Do MBNA sponsor any European teams?! Just a shame for you that it's been announced so late on, as the majority of Wrexham fans won't be able to afford it after already booking their annual summer holiday to Rhyl

Incredible but our build the budget fund broke through the 40k barrier today thanks to the generosity of fans attending the game. Magnifique

Rumours are that we are signing back Johnny hunt Don't have a bad word about Hunt, even if he goes back to Wrexham, he'll be going back to a full time contract, training full time and who can forget those massive floodlights.

So did we get a definitive answer on how Wrexham get first dibs on the BBC National League page?
Todays lead story is how Keates is to spend £40k on new players with a desire to play for the red shirt. Including Hunt?
Is the editor a Wrexham fan, or is it part of the BBC trying to avoid bias to England by giving Principality teams first coverage? Suppose this would have been tested if Newport were relegated.

I may be wrong (feel free to correct me if I am), but I think the lead story is based on what location your internet address is, so if you were down south then you'd get more Southern based stories etc. And in no way meaning to stir anything up, (I'll even base it on attendances alone) then Wrexham are larger than Chester. Tranmere may be out of the catchment area as they are bigger than Wrexham.

Newport get first pick for league 2, so it must be to do with that they are both Welsh.

Don't thinks it down to IP address as I'm based in Nottinghamshire 😳
Rio think you maybe correct, it's the BBC pandering to minorities 😂
