What time is the Open Top Bus parade round town after beating Halifax? Saw a video of bootlegger on social media from the game, it did look like they had won the league. Halifax started really strong last year and I don't see them anywhere near the top 10 this season either. But it doesn't stop their delusion. What delusion is then then - do tell?
No delusion on my part - I accept we are stuck in this pub league for the foreseeable future.
Our only hope is that you get promoted again to make it a little more exciting, although I won't hold my breath on that count.
Your attendances are looking up? From what I gather the next Harry Mac social event is being held in a phone box....

Delusion that no matter how crap you've been for 20 years+ there's this expectation that greatness will happen and why is the Notts game on the sunday? Police advice?

Do me a favour - all supporters want their teams to do well and generally start the new season with hope - I'm sure its the same with Chester - you lot need to get over it.
Nottingham Forest at at home on the Saturday and of course being a much bigger club than Notts County the match was moved to the Sunday.

Sounds like another classic last night getting a draw against the mighty 10 men of Kettering. Roberts OG, is he pissed again? Almost as classic as a Sean Pearson 93rd minute own goal away at Dover. Still you’ve got tonight’s open bus top parade around the pound stores to look forward to. Yes, you’re probably right. How stupid to celebrate a win, I wish we could celebrate a draw that happened decades ago and dedicate a day to it every year, now that wouldn’t be pathetic in the slightest.

I remember you lot commemorating a 3 - 1 defeat by Stoke only a few months ago. Absolutely tragic stuff!

1600 away fans at Notts County yesterday. Not too shabby for a Sunday afternoon.

Good result for you against Gloucester but watching the highlights - the stadium looked empty.

The Goats just dont see how embarrassing it is do they? We average crowds that suggest our league position is about right. With what they average they should be in League 1 maybe or league 2 at least. They have underachieved for years and have chopped and changed their managers far too often for a club that has been knocking on the door of the play offs so many times.

They don’t see what everyone else does. They’re blinkered. So deluded it’s actually quite uncomfortable.

Ha ha - I would rather be where we are than where you are - not embarrassing at all for me!
Attendances do not automatically give you the financial clout to compete in this league - surely you understand that.
Us deluded - that's a joke coming from you lot. Anyway enjoy your season in NLN.

In this day and age Crowds for a lot of football Clubs aren't relied on for a sustainable source of income. Just look at Tranmere, the year they got promoted back to the EFL they were losing 30k a week and Palios had to get a 2 million loan Just to stop them going out of business. They were averaging over 5k!
If that situation happened at Chester or Wrexham we'd be done. The fan ownership put us both in a rare situation compared to most Clubs so we'll only continue to be outsourced by Clubs like Boreham Wood who only got 300 in their last home game! yet they'll be up there again this year.

Not a footballing City yet take 2,500 to Garforth in the 8th tier of English football! We never would have bothered coming back if that was true. Lawro’s football opinions are slightly off. I don’t think he’s predicted Liverpool to lose a home game in the last 20 years.

An average start compared to last and they want the managers head. Oh and the board want sacking again. To be fair the abuse Spencer Harris gets on Twitter is shocking, They quickly go quiet after a win though.
There is even a petition to get the manager sacked

Should be doing much better with the squad they've got. Maybe they've been found out. Funny.
