Your club is festering in this god awful league whilst you bicker about WAFC. Your club needs investement but from a sustainable source , we struck lucky will you some time soon ?

Yes I agree with you but we have previously played so many of the so called top teams this season so its about time we did well against the bottom end teams. Its a long season but I expect we will be up there near or at the top before long. Interesting crowd numbers at your last home game 2.5 x our last opponents efforts !!

Signings incoming. EIEIEIO Wrexham fan in work saying you're signing an international player - Foo Kin-Nowan Always good fun to see who they will waste more money on. Suppose they got a 33 year old long throw merchant in the summer for quarter of a million which has been money well wasted.

'It is believed that the Dons will receive in excess of £300,000' londonnewsonline.co.uk/afc-wimbledon-striker-ollie-palmer-set-for-wrexham-transfer/Statement from Wimbledon - 'AFC Wimbledon has reluctantly accepted an offer of £300,000 for our striker Ollie Palmer after the player insisted he wanted to leave the club. Ollie will join National League outfit Wrexham, whose new Hollywood owners are investing heavily in a bid to get their club back into the Football League. We are naturally disappointed to see Ollie leave and wish the 30-year-old every success for the remainder of his career. Our Chief Executive Joe Palmer said: “Wrexham offered a substantial fee for Ollie - and also made him an irresistible personal offer. “In the end, though, it was entirely Ollie’s decision to leave. We couldn’t have offered him anywhere near what he was being offered and the last thing we wanted to do was force him to stay against his will. That wouldn’t have been in anyone’s best interests.” Ollie joined us in August 2020 but injuries restricted him to 52 first-team appearances, in which he scored 13 goals. In an emotional message to his former Dons teammates, Ollie said: "I just want to say a massive thank-you to each and every one of you. You’ve helped me grow as person and been a second family to me. I got to say a few goodbyes this morning and obviously in the players' group chat. "I wish you nothing but the absolute best this season, what a club to play for, and thank you for everything.” Head Coach Mark Robinson also added his own thanks to the 6ft 5ins striker, saying: "As a coach, seeing a 30-year-old grow and develop as a player and a person was hugely satisfying. "I am obviously really disappointed Ollie has gone, but I can only wish him the very best as he bought into everything we did and had a big impact for us." Although Ollie passed a medical at Wrexham this afternoon, the transfer remains subject to international clearance and approval from the Football League, FA and FAW. Discussions on finding a replacement for Ollie are now ongoing. We only recently welcomed the arrival of striker Terry Ablade from Fulham - but the transfer windows remains open. “The football panel are working through potential targets at the moment and we will look to provide Robbo with another option as soon as we can,” added Joe.'

Depends how you quantify waste of money..£170 mil net worth between the two owners..doesn’t even make a scratch on their interest they make…the big worry is where is this all going?…top five teams in that league make any chance of the likes of us getting back in the EFL just a pipe dream..where as five or so years ago there was hope…now we just tread water…

400k for a lower league journeyman is special even for them. Saw him Ply against us for Grimsby a few years ago and he was poor. This is all going to end in tears down the 483.

Not sure what the other one is doing but if I was a Wrexham fan I would be worried.

Their general recruitment strategy seems to be to tempt League One players with salaries they are not going to be able to turn down, while making six-figure bids that most League One clubs are going to struggle to reject.
They certainly seem to be attracting a fair bit of criticism for this amount paid from fans of clubs who aren’t rivals with them. Guess that if he proves the ideal partner for Mullin and they get promoted then they will see it as money well spent, but if he doesn’t deliver and they remain in the National League then it’s going to be seen as a major waste of money - if they decide they want to move him on at some point then it won’t be easy given the wages he’s reportedly on.

£300K for a 30 year old with a history of injuries, what's not to like!

Huge money being spent down there. Close to our total yearly players budget!! The top of the conference seems awash with money atm. It used to be just one club splashing the cash. Now it's 4 or 5. It really does put our position into perspective. Yes it would be lovely if someone came along with a few million but it's highly unlikely. I'm happy supporting the community based model we have. It's unlikely that R&R will abandon this project and leave them in trouble because the PR would be terrible. However, they may need deep pockets as Salford have reportedly spent nearly 20 milion to get them to mid table league 2! Wxm have a much bigger fan base and may have better sponsorship etc. Whatever its going to be an interesting title run in this year and will be very amusing if they are still stuck in the conference next year. Hopefully it will be Notts or Stockport that go up🤞

It's shit or bust basically. Banking on promotion for the cameras but paying that much + League One wages just seems madness. Especially when Macclesfield won this league with a whole squad with a 400k. There's a wage cap next season, so one of Stockport, Chesterfield or Wrexham will hit a brick wall.

Good job the expert fans of a mid table conference north team know the answer to this problem and not the multi-millionaires or experts running the club. Cheers lads.

Nice to see the scum helping out other clubs, paying £300,000 for a journeyman with a below average goal to game return. Real winners here are AFC Wimbledon. Keep splashing the cash lads, you still ain't getting promoted.
