Need a ref with a pair of bollocks who'll clamp down on the time wasting and play acting. From what i've seen of refs so far this season it ain't going to happen

We just need to stop being frightened of losing this unbeaten record and go out with the intention of winning the game, it’s getting to be a millstone around our neck as it’s all the people at the club talk about.

👆. This. I’d rather lose trying to win tomorrow than keep the unbeaten record.
As I’ve said before, if you think about it you could go a whole season undefeated and still get relegated - so it’s not necessarily as important as some people think it is. The more important stat is points per game - have never understood why that is never given more importance (other than the Covid season).

I would love to see Thomas given a go instead of Murray, the lad tries hard but it’s just not going for him at the moment, and Thomas would give us a bit more of a physical presence as well as running at defenders.

Nothing but 3 points tomorrow.
I remember in December time someone mentioned we hadn’t scored a first half home goal since August - I swear we’ve scored 4-5 first half goals at home all year?
Been a tough watch for a while at home so would guess 1850 in tomorrow and I’ll go for a hopeful 2-1 win.
Would like to see some width added to the play - 352 with Coates and Brown pushing higher would be a welcome change.

We seem to only play the form teams these days… away to top of the league for the second time in a fortnight next Saturday too 🤣
Really hope we see a change in the line up, these home games have been crying out for Stephenson and Thomas down the wings.
Chester 2-1 Spennymoor. Willoughby and Thomas
Been a great run of 2k+ crowds but we’ve not helped ourselves with performances & results, back down to 1,878 with 27 away

We’ll draw this game 1-1 after another stinker of a performance and then we will play a blinder at Kings Lynn next Saturday and win 3-1. Just the way it goes!

Could be 3 consecutive away games against top of the league! That’s one for Chas Sumner to get his teeth into if it does happen!

It seems the players just shit a brick anytime we have a crowd over 2,000. If we get an early goal it will make the difference.

There must be a good reason, though not an obvious one to many fans it seems, why Stephenson is largely sidelined.

Reason Curzon didn’t play him too.

Huge game today. While not losing a game in 90 minutes since the start of October is something to be proud of, six draws in a row is not good enough so we really need to change our approach to home matches this afternoon. Playing a simple 4-4-2 would be a good start, as we have lacked width quite often at the Deva this season and I really want Adam Thomas to get a decent run of games under his belt. 4-3-3 has been extremely effective for us on the road so far, however we definitely need to be more clinical and start on the front foot right from the off at the Deva. It will be a tricky one today, because Spennymoor Town are on a strong run of form, and like ourselves they have drawn numerous matches this season. Hopefully though our players will be fired up for it, and will put in a dominant performance throughout to put us back on track. With the gap between us and Kidderminster Harriers in 8th getting narrower by the week, it is imperative we pick up all three points.
Score - Chester FC (Hughes, Thomas) 2-0 Spennymoor Town.
Attendance - 2,021 (48 Spennymoor Town).

Thomas has to start today and we go 433.
Need to change something and the lad has been short-changed for me, he’s done well in his cameos.

Totally agree with you on all points, They are going to set up and play like all the other teams have here ,so we need to do something different so we can get a goal in front, then we can relax a bit and start to play with a bit of confidence.

Doesn’t work anywhere near hard enough to justify a place in the team when he’s out of form either. Shame really as we all know how good he can be!

Looks to me like that could be a 352 that we’re playing today?
Interesting. I do feel like pushing Coates & Brown forward makes more sense, and would also mean Weeks shouldn’t need to be dropping so deep with more protection behind him. Think we need a change from the diamond we’ve been playing pretty much all season

It isn’t 352 lads.
Sticking with the diamond 442 - Robbo holding, Weeks right, Hughes left, and Burke at the top of the diamond.
Start has been very similar to most of Tuesday nights game so far.
