Just heard that former Chester striker Derek Draper has passed. Sad news. One of Chester's all time great players. Agree and sad news. RIP.

Sad to hear about Derek Draper, was a team regular when i started watching Chester in the Dearden Provan Draper era. Used to get his fair share of goals too

TWO men, including one from Kidlington, have admitted to distributing multiple kilograms of cocaine throughout Swindon and Wiltshire.
Shepherd Murombedzi, 29, of Hazel Crescent, Kidlington, and Tre Mitford, 29, of Hamilton Road, Kent, admitted supplying Class A drugs during a hearing at Swindon Crown Court on Thursday (August 29).
Detective Inspector Dean Garvin from the Serious and Organised Crime Unit said: "My team was tasked with tackling an Organised Crime Group identified as the highest risk in Wiltshire.
“We were quickly able to identify that Mr Murombedzi and Mr Mitford (who used the codename Dusseldorf for their drug line) were supplying Class A drugs to this local gang, whose leaders were already incarcerated due to actions taken by Wiltshire Police.
“We conducted surveillance on them before carrying out enforcement actions across four locations, supported by our specialist teams.
"The evidence we gathered was overwhelming and that is why they have pleaded guilty to the charges.
“The profits made by these Organised Crime Groups are staggering, at the expense of the suffering and violence inflicted upon our local communities due to their greed.
“Now, both individuals face potential significant prison sentences.
“We will continue to pursue and put these gang members before the judges and juries of Wiltshire.
“That is what the public expect of us."

Can’t blame the lad, wasn’t he one of the players who basically played for travel expenses only towards the end of Bignot’s time in charge? Missed out on alot of Benjamins. Had to make his dollah somehow.

I’d expect him to do well at that level, always seemed just on the cusp of being a decent player for us.

Had to make his dollah somehow. During a cfu meeting a Board Member made comments that those players "expenses" were more than a lot of our players wages. They included hotel bills etc. Don't believe the charitable views. Do you genuinely believe it's OK for those short of money to cause suffering for those addicted to the drugs they distribute and sell?

Harry Tyrer in goal for Blackpool (against Crewe) and Wyll Stanway in goal for Barrow (against Bolton) in the Bristol Street Motors Trophy tonight. Noticed that Barrow's keeper got sent off today but neglected to include Stanway on the bench. Got his chance now though, including at Stamford Bridge against Chelsea coming up.

Interesting, drugs are everywhere, the best course is to legalise and tax them. Cuts out the gangs/criminals. Works with booze and tobacco

Didn't know Ben Tollitt had gone to Morecambe. Thought he was a bit of a disappointment here to be honest but now playing two leagues higher and scored today.

Dont fret Lobster, even if Tollitt is with Morecambe next season it’ll be in the Nationwide. I think this is the beginnings of the demise of Morecambe FC and the fall into obscurity!!!

Didn't know Ben Tollitt had gone to Morecambe. Thought he was a bit of a disappointment here to be honest but now playing two leagues higher and scored today. To be fair he was a breath of fresh air in his first two games, floating around popping up everywhere and taking pot-shots at goal when nobody else would. However he soon got sucked into our mind-numbing boring style of play after a couple of games and you could see a notable difference where he would begin turning inside and playing an extra pass like the rest of the passing robots had been doing for most of the season. It legit looked as if his individuality had been coached out of him and reigned in after a couple of games. Good luck to him, really genuine lad too.

I’d go along with this - he’s a quality player, as he’s demonstrated a number of times in the past when he’s played against us, but it just didn’t really work out for him here, due in no small part to the fact he was usually shoehorned into a system to which he was pretty ill-suited. Don’t really understand why we signed him at all, to be honest, if we weren’t willing to change things up to accommodate him - I get that it might’ve seemed too great an opportunity to pass up when a player of his calibre became available, but with hindsight, it surely would’ve been wiser to spend the money on the striker for whom we were crying out, unless we’d struck some incredible deal with Oldham that meant we contributed very little towards his wages while he was here. Wish him all the best, by all means… though with all this being said, I’m not convinced he’s a Football League-standard player.

Morecambe cobbled together a team at the 11th hour. Going down. Wouldn't be surprised if they drop 2 leagues unless someone buys the club.

Ben Tollitt and Marcus Dackers in action for Morecambe live on Sky Sports on my IPTV box.
A Lancashire HOT-POT Derby away to Fleetwood; Morecambe coming back from 2-0 down to get a late equaliser with DACK ATTACK providing the assist.
