To be honest, the use of a letter isn't a bad idea at all, because it engages with the fans more in a personal, informal way. I also think that Mark Maguire is using the new database in order to interact which is miles better than just putting up a message on social media, which some people don't read. I hope this campaign ends up with a positive result, for Mark and for the club. Depends if it's the same post as the one used for the player contract offers...

Has anyone actually had a letter yet? I'm a season ticket holder and haven't had anything. Have they been posted yet?

They won't arrive tomorrow being a bank holiday. Which kind of makes a joke of sending them in the first place only to then trump their arrival with the online announcement tomorrow.

I'm surprised anyone is surprised about the delay announcing prices. MM always said the announcement would be timed to coincide with a big, exciting new signing. The problem with that being, on our limited budget and hardly an attractive proposition to big exciting players, is we are struggling to attract that calibre of player.
Unless we've now managed to pull it off, looks like MM has had to bite the bullet and just announce them anyway.

Don't know why some people are getting so hot and bothered about timing of season ticket sales. At last CFU meeting it was explained that there would be no "Early Bird" scheme as such, as the two reasons clubs do them, i.e. run out of money during the previous season or a hook such as promotion or cup final appearance were not relevant at Chester FC this year. In fact tickets only went on sale 2 weeks earlier last year (16th May I believe), and the majority of sales were reportedly done in the last week of the offer, which ended towards the end of June. Whether this years season ticket pricing structure is an improvement in terms of addressing demographic pricing issues remains to be seen but hopefully there will be some encouragement to entice the younger supporters to come along on a regular basis. Can't understand why those who have previously stated that they won't be buying a season ticket for the coming season keep banging on. Perhaps they are only joking, but sadly doubt it as they seem to have little sense of humour and chips on their shoulders.
I spent northwards of £400 on season tickets last year. Sorry Superfan, but given the cost, and absence of any early bird offer it would have been nice to know what the prices would be next season as soon as possible. Given the unexplained delay in letting fans know what the pricing structure will be, and absence of any announced incentive to date, I am sure I won't be alone in delaying purchases until the end of July, or as long as possible. Apologies for the lack of humour, but how does this help Club finances ?

Fair dos we're a shambles of a football club, no decent early bird season tickets let alone any price's, the worst away kit in a long time and a manager who should of been sacked long ago, oh well roll on next season

I know we're all frustrated by this but why speculate now when in a few hours we can comment on the actual prices?

It does seem we've gone about it in a strange way this year, but I'll wait until I see the package they've created before judging.
Our approach, with a delay and letters etc, all points towards an exciting offer. It suggests there's a new pricing structure or the letter will announce a popular signing. If there's no positive news to come, then why on earth would we leave it so long?
All will be revealed.

So at what point today exactly are we expecting this announcement?
Too late for me now anyway, the wife found the cash I had put aside for my season ticket and her needs are greater, allegedly.

We've all been waiting to hear off him the past two seasons The re-signing of George vould have a big impact on season ticket sales - unfortunately it could be a negative one. After the last two seasons of mediocrity and anonymity, is anyone, other than McCarthy, really bothered whether he signs.

Maybe they are awaiting Luke George signing for someone else so they can ride the wave of optimism.

We're not half making a hash of this!
I mean, I'm not gonna blow my top over it or anything. There are worse things going on in the world, but given what a straightforward task it should be, this rigmarole is at best annoying, at worst worrying.

How long do we just leave contract offers hanging around for carthorses like Luke George? It's utterly desperate to allow such a woeful player to "weigh up his options" - I would have given him a day or two to make a decision and then politely shown him the door.

The same Undercover Chester who said there'd be an announcement in 48 hours of a new signing that fans wouldn't be underwhelmed with (nothing), that Kane Richards was mulling over new contract (released) and Hudson close to new deal (released) in the past few weeks, amongst other vague tweets.

I loss faith in people running club last season which is why I've decided against buying season ticket and renewing CFU and Junior Blue (for kid) subs this year. This whole thing is an embarrassment to watch, it's tin pot. It's awful P.R considering we are a 'community' club
