Good news this. Let's hope he can stay fit and reach the heights he reached last time he was here.

Made up with this. I doubt it but it imagine if Alabi stayed with Hannah up too, that sounds very interesting.

What a signing. Absolutely delighted with this. He scored over 20 goals with the ball hoofed towards him. If he gets the correct service he'll score 30 odd.
Plus he turned down Wrexham. Legend in the making!

Super news but interesting that we have presumably bought him out of his contract at mega bucks Barrow AND given him a two-year deal. Let's hope we can afford it!
As for Alabi it looks like he's definitely off. I'd like us to sign a replacement of similar ilk because Bell is essentially Richards II and I can't recall White coming across as a big target man.

5 strikers on the books but with alabi expected to leave it's a welcome boost to have 4 akintunde bell and white will learn a lot from hannah

I can't believe it, competition for places up front, and strong competition at that! White and Hannah or Akintunde and Hannah would be my guess.
That said, i think the best news out of all of this is that it looks like JM is heading back to the 4-4-2!!

I imagine there will have been a deal between Barrow and Hannah to allow him to leave. If he was surplus to requirements there, then I am sure they will have waived any fee. We haven't a target man so the onus will be on JM to get the most out of what we do have. The aimless hoofing to one man up front will need to stop from day one.

This ^ He was allowed to leave apparently. I think White is fairly big at 6'1, not small anyway. He scored 12 in 19 as well. If Hannah can bag 20 again, and white manages a full season, those two could be a real hand full for any defence. Makes it so much sweeter than Hannah turned down Wrexham for us.

Bell is more of a target man type of player. He's a raw strong unit. Not sure he'll start any games, but he's a different option from the bench. Something we sorely lacked last season. It maybe that Barrow have paid Ross off, and that's allowed us to jump in and offer him the two year deal. Gives him the security he was after.

It would be like John McCarthy and the seven (ish) dwarfs if we stuck Mahon, Brown, Hannah, Joyce is the same side! I'd like to see: White/Hannah Mahon/Shaw/Signing (Bulldog type)/signing Hall/Astles/Signing/Waters (or signing) Lynch We also have young Crawford who's a striker i think? That's 4 of our own plus the loan lad. We need to bolster the midfield now...part of me wants JM to pull the plug on George stalling and get someone else in. So far i must admit, business has been much better than i expected, even without the Hughes cash yet.

Fantastic news, well done to the club for pulling it off.
These two signings are the quality we need to move forward as a club, it's really pleasing to see. It also clarifies what JM was doing by offering early deals to squad members like Joyce, Davies, Chappell etc. It would appear we've cemented a base of lower-earning players and are going to add the quality to it where we need it.
Hannah is a season-ticket boost, he was top drawer last time and it's great to have him back.
With any boost to the coffers from Hughes or Alabi departing, there could be a few more yet. Central midfield looks a real priority to me, particularly if Shaw is stepping back.

hannah said it was so easy to rejoin the club he loves and it feels like he's coming home What tripe ! he left you for the money and now out of a job returns . Not very ambitious is he but as I have said still a good signing for you. its really strange how quite a few of you were really getting at your manager but now all is ok ?

He wasn't out of a job because he could have sat on a 12 month contract, that as you said nearly tripled his wages that he was on with us the first spell. I know for a fact, Keates offered him a 12 month deal and he turned it down for a two year deal.

You just knew a Wrexham fan would come on and say this sort of junk. Jealousy and bitterness are in a Wrexham fan's DNA! Interview?? It's hardly like he's going to work in the club office. That little short arsed weasel like manager of yours knew that he would be getting a 20 goal striker but unlike that rat you worshipped at the Deva last season, Hannah has principles and made the right choice!

Have to say that although progress has been a little slow, the signings made so far have been pretty good. Realistically I don't expect the 3 young lads to break into the team, more likely to occupy a place on the bench occasionally, play in the senior cup or go on loan, but all the other signings have had experience at this level. Wasn't massively enthused by Bell but he's likely to be adequate enough backup alongside Akintunde to the presumably first choice duo of Hannah and White. I presume that we're banking on getting the money from Sam to help with paying Ross's wages, but its a no brainer to go for this when we know what he's capable of and we know about what sort of character he is. Resources need to be aimed in the central midfield area now, something we have consistently struggled with. I get the impression George has been given a take it or leave it lower offer, which in all honesty he was lucky to get, Shaw is taking a backseat, so we really need an experienced player in the middle there to potentially partner Dawson, who given a proper pre season could prove to be an asset.

If Hannah was offered a 12 month contract by the Reds( don't believe it) I would be surprised he didn't take it but all this tripe he is now spouting just shows he is just after money and somewhere top play for a few years. Ask yourself the question if Hannah still had 12 months on his contract at Barrow on good money why would he leave ? Still he does look a good signing for you .

Hannah has always been a player that wants to play football. Even at Grimsby he was fuming at being on the bench and did take his anger out on twitter at times, which i don't necessarily agree with. I guess it's a choice between two years as a first choice striker, or a season on the bench on better money. At least with us offering two years, he is guaranteed a fair wage next season. Keates offering 12month at less than Barrow, would be a clear no no.

Absolutely made up. Fantastic news. Best striker we've had here in years. His interview in the Chronicle was brilliant. Love him, one of my faves. Haha really chuffed with this.
Well done Macca

Clearly your floodlights aren't as massive as they used to be. He left for more money, 3 times more who wouldn't leave but he left with grace and our best wishes but even though he could of sat on his arse for another year first team football is paramount for him and this capture is massive for us as it would of been for you lot but unlike **** Rooney, Hannah has common sense.

hannah said it was so easy to rejoin the club he loves and it feels like he's coming home Really or was it just an extra year on his contract that swung it ? From RP "Just signed for Chester, but had a friend who knows Chester Chairman and Manager and is extremely well connected down the road, who has just said that Hannah was due to sign here, paperwork all done, Chester called his agent, his agent was at the Racecourse, picked up the paperwork and went and signed there instead!"

It really doesn't matter who was in for him, whether it be Wrexham or Halifax or various other Conference clubs who no doubt would have been alerted to his availability. The fact that he was so well treated and respected at Chester obviously stayed with him, but lets not kid ourselves the main reason he has signed is because we have offered a 2 year contract. At this stage of his career that offers him stability in an environment where he has previously thrived and already has the admiration of the fans - its a no brainer for him.

What a legend! He turned down the goats to sign a 2-year deal with us. That's what I call loyalty. I am absolutely humbled that he has returned and can't wait to hear the chant and I can't wait to see him banging the goals in. Well done Macca, what a fantastic signing. Welcome back Ross! 🔵⚪️ ''ROSSS HANNAH, ROOOOSSSSSS HANNAH!!!''
