I imagine there will have been a deal between Barrow and Hannah to allow him to leave. If he was surplus to requirements there, then I am sure they will have waived any fee. We haven't a target man so the onus will be on JM to get the most out of what we do have. The aimless hoofing to one man up front will need to stop from day one. This ^ He was allowed to leave apparently. I think White is fairly big at 6'1, not small anyway. He scored 12 in 19 as well. If Hannah can bag 20 again, and white manages a full season, those two could be a real hand full for any defence. Makes it so much sweeter than Hannah turned down Wrexham for us. That's because he wants to be a member of the exclusive GoatBusters club

I'm hoping that fans aren't thinking that Dawson is the answer.

I'm hoping that fans aren't thinking that Dawson is the answer. I think he has potential to be. His manager at Telford described him as the best midfielder in the Conference North, which clearly shows something. He's been out of football for the whole of last season until we signed him in March, so he ws always going to be prone to mistakes, but I really think he is someone we can improve, like we have Alabi, Hughes, Heneghan, Sarcevic etc... He won't be on a major wage either. Keep imo.

Just found this on RedPassion don't know if its true. Just signed for Chester, but had a friend who knows Chester Chairman and Manager and is extremely well connected down the road, who has just said that Hannah was due to sign here, paperwork all done, Chester called his agent, his agent was at the Racecourse, picked up the paperwork and went and signed there instead. But good luck to the man. Keep up - that's already quoted in the second post on this page. Yeah just realised, I've had a long hard day.

how have we pulled this off have they released him or would we have to pay some sort of transfer to barrow Barrow happy to get rid of him apparently and only scored 8 goals all season. You are making as much of a show of yourself as your right back did on Saturday night at Old Trafford. What a pleb he is!

What a signing. Absolutely delighted with this. He scored over 20 goals with the ball hoofed towards him. If he gets the correct service he'll score 30 odd. Plus he turned down Wrexham. Legend in the making! According to those in the know Keates interviewed him but didn't want him , still a good signing for you I think ? Rumours thread on SO78. "On my lunch break and hearing Hannah tried to negotiate a part time deal with us. Wants to play part time so he can spend more time at home. Keates apparently laughed him out the building." My take on this, if true is Keates wants players who live and breathe the club, not players after a last pay day.

Complete u-turn by Wrexham fans has been hilarious in all this. From the excitement of signing a 20 goal player to him being past it and apparently and allegedly hearing this and that.

Who gives a shit what deluded Wrexham fans think about why Hannah signed for us. The only thing that concerns me is that he did.

barrow fans have heaped praise on him most saying he was not given a fair chance but acted very professional and never bad mouthed the club while he was sat on the bench something that an old player of ours needs to learn from
regarding the wrexham rumor no one knows what's gone on with him and dean only them 2 will know what was on offer
it's been a poor poor 2nd half of the season but it's times like the last 24 hours where we put 2016/17 season to bed and move forward ready for next seasons rollercoaster to begin

hannah said it was so easy to rejoin the club he loves and it feels like he's coming home Really or was it just an extra year on his contract that swung it ? From RP "Just signed for Chester, but had a friend who knows Chester Chairman and Manager and is extremely well connected down the road, who has just said that Hannah was due to sign here, paperwork all done, Chester called his agent, his agent was at the Racecourse, picked up the paperwork and went and signed there instead!" 2 words John Rooney Lol

Great to see Hannah back but can't help feeling there's no reason to get all misty eyed. He's come to us purely because we offered him a two year deal. Good work by his agent and I suppose that's the gamble you take for a proven forward. No problem with him getting the best deal possible, although personally not keen on two year deals for 30 somethings, but don't really buy into all this loving the club stuff. Will judge him on the goals he scores.

He's a natural born striker, one of the best in the league, goalscorers are hard to come by. If he gets 20-30 goals over the next 2 seasons then he's worth the investment

He,ll be around the team less than Iwelumo, preferring to spend his time at home. Good luck with a part time player on a two year deal. No doubt a big chunk of your budget has gone on this deal. #Gamble

I'm looking forward to reading more drivel and sour grapes from "Corner Flag" today about the Hannah signing today. It will help pass the working day. I'll start for you "Corner Flag": "My mate who knows someone that works in the retail park near to the Deva Stadium told me that Keates took Hannah to "Techniquest" and told him that he needed to complete a puzzle within 10 mins. Apparently Hannah completed it in 12 mins and therefore Keates decided he was not the right fit for Wrexham."

You've signed decent defenders, that i can't argue with. BUT Chris Holroyd!? The lad is only a year younger than hannah and has netted 23 times in 143 games! Hannah has netted 3x as many career goals, not sure you can really question our signing him.

Hence Holroyd only been given a one year deal. The point is yes, Hannah was offered a deal, a one year deal, but his insistence on wanting to spend more time at home rather than on the training ground scuppered that. No doubt you've got yourself a player with some pedigree at this level, but ultimately he's not the type of player Keates wants or needs attitude wise.

I'm sorry, I don't wish to get in the middle of this pathetic 'well, we didn't even want him' tantrum that you are throwing but I strongly disagree with any questioning of Ross's desire or work rate. A more committed, hard working player at this level you will not find. It's a great signing. We've got a man who is guaranteed to score at least 15 goals, who in their right mind wouldn't want that?

If Holroyd has been signed as our main striker you'll have a point. But I don't expect he has been. Hannah is undoubtedly a great signing for you guys. No-one apart from the key players know what Wrexhams interest was and what was or wasn't offered. I'd expect we were interested as he's a proven goalscorer at this level, although equally I doubt he would be our number one target. Ultimately he's chose to go back to Chester and at 31 a two year contract at a place he obviously enjoyed himself at before is a bit of a no Brainer.

A horizontal line, which is the increasing gap between Wrexham and the football league. 10 years in the conference now? That horizontal line is increasing.

You should be doing your homework school tomorrow ! I doubt any of us will know the full truth about Hannah but lets be honest if you are all really truthful surely you can see that Hannah is only at your place for 2yrs security and obviously wants to be part time which Keates wont accept for any player.Yes its 10yrs nearly that we have been in this league but maybe just maybe this is the season we say good bye to you and get promoted back to the EFL. please remind me how long have you been out of the EFL ?

I don't doubt for one minute that he would have gone to Wrexham had the deal been a lot better but I am glad he is here.
