Is that definitely a champions league final, as opposed to a European cup final? Yes. 'European Cup' was rebranded as 'European Champions League' in 1992.

Gary Hooper? I think he played for Scunthorpe, Celtic and Norwich amongst others. He also played on loan at Hereford and scored against us at Edgar Street when we got a 2-2 draw there about 12 years ago.

Should be of interest as Chester is an old Roman city. Only one player ever played in the premier league who has a surname made up only of Roman numerals.
