Amazing what a win can do for confidence.
I’m going for a 2-0 win, Glendon and Weeks. Did think about Murray but he really isn’t that prolific so.
The freezing temperatures will put a fair few off so I’d say 1799.
I’m taking the boy to the Bristol City v West Ham replay so will be following on X as there’s no way I can stream Seals Live in the middle of a packed stadium.
Coooooome Onnnnnn Yoooooooou Bluuuuuuues!

Is there any doubt about the game or planned potch inspection? Thought that myself when I saw 75mm of snow here in Warrington. Assume none in Chester.

The system on Saturday seemed to work. Play it on the ground against Buxton's giants and we should get success.
2-1
Peers and Whitehouse

Was a much-improved performance against a poor Gloucester City side last weekend. I thought three at the back allowed us to play with much more freedom, and it certainly showed as we won by a three-goal margin for only the second time of the season. Was a comfortable afternoon with Gloucester rarely threatening, so it was refreshing to see us play with little pressure on our shoulders. Our second-half display was particularly superb, as everything seemed to click into place in midfield, while it was fantastic to see Tom Peers get on the scoresheet on his return. He will play a pivotal part for us in the second-half of the season, and demonstrated what we were missing in those two disappointing defeats against Warrington Town and Rushall Olympic. Once Charlie Caton is back again, we’ll have a strong forward line so I can’t wait to see what partnership Peers and Caton will form.
Quick turnaround for us tonight, which will be another opportunity for us to pick up three points. It’s crazy to think that we could jump up to third if other results go our way, which goes to show just how wide open the play-off race is. With the exception of Chorley, we have three very winnable games coming up in the next fortnight, so we need to go on a run to prove why we’re good enough to finish at the top end of the table. Buxton have been one of the surprise packages this season, albeit not in a positive way, as they find themselves languishing in 19th. Just goes to show that you can have all the money and strength in depth you want, but if you don’t have the right system then you’ll struggle. Same goes to Darlington as well. Not expecting it to be as straightforward as last Saturday, but I reckon we’ll have enough quality to do the job.
Score - Chester FC (Peers, Roberts) 2-1 Buxton (De Girolamo).
Attendance - 1,961 (54 Buxton).
