Apart from all the obvious reasons to vote Labour (great policies, May being utterly incompetent, Corbyn being the messiah), they're also the best vote for Chester FC too. - Chris Matheson (MP for Chester if you didn't know) is on the Culture, Media and Sports Select Committee and, I am reliably informed (by a director), consults the club about football issues. So currently Chester FC have a direct line into the making of football policy - worth maintaining! - Labour obviously set up Supporters' Direct, which Chester FC is a member of now and who helped set us up. - Labour actually have some pledges on football (5% of Premier League money to grassroots football I think?), whereas the Tories have a grand total of 0 words on sport. - The latest idea of a Tory government getting rid of our human rights is very unlikely to be a good thing for football fans................... - I've seen Chris Matheson at a couple of games too. Can't imagine that bloke they've parachuted from deepest Hertfordshire (I have no idea if this is true) has ever been down to the Deva. In short: support Chester FC, support Labour.

Plus the fact that we are a socialist cooperative enterprise. It's a no-brainer.

Only down side is Diane Abbott will be made manager and will be in charge of club finances.😀

The many Jewish people I've met are deeply concerned about the rising anti-Semitic feeling across Europe that is at it's worst since the 1930s. This is my last post on this subject in this thread and I will not respond to the many people that are apologists for anti-Semitism.

I see the subject of supporter involvement in club ownership was raised again last night in a packed out City Hall in Newcastle, with the LOTO taking aim at Mike Ashley and meeting with the Ashley Out campaigners after his speech. The 2017 manifesto was positive for football supporters everywhere and Labour continue to act on behalf of the many, not the few. Here’s hoping they can put this into action in power.

Am I the only one who is fed up to the back teeth with politics and Brexit I wouldn’t trust any of them to get us out of this mess that they have all put us in, if at the start of this they had put aside political divides and got together for the good of the people to sort Brexit out we wouldn’t be in this mess now. But they wouldn’t do that because the whole dishonest bunch of them had their own political agendas which didn’t include what was best for the country and the people, now rant over let’s get back to talking about football.

Nope, every point you have quoted is factual. Wrong. When labour had a drop in session every sat morning outside the post office in saltney high street I used to go and ask them about the dog mess on the juniour football pitches at wessie park. Was told bluntly it was a police issue and they couldn't help. Bollocks. They just weren't interested as it was a minor thing and wouldnt get them extra votes. Horrible people

Dog mess on council owned public pitches is a council issue, not an MP’s issue. Of course an MP could put pressure on the council to act.

Since you became a MOD it doesn't mean you have all the answers. Of cause it's a MP issue. If a child fell in dog mess and got blinded who would you run to for support. Yes your local MP.

To raise awareness in the press perhaps but it’s council owned land so it’s the council that should deal with it. Anyway, unsure what being a moderator has to do with anything.

You changed the topic of this thread, which was about football until you piped up. Doesn’t change the fact that if all parties had put up a united front until brexit was sorted we would have got a deal but instead of that they all saw it as a platform for them to make political gains, this comes from someone who voted remain by the way.

Precisely. Everyone knows the Tories have made a mess of Brexit. The Corbynites however just can't admit that his shamelessly cynical game playing has also contributed to the crisis. A strong and principled leader he is not. They're an odd bunch. If Corbyn told his supporters on here to buy a Wrexham season ticket they'd ask how many.
