Let's hope those midfielders & forwards are big strong buggers. Also had a look at the Ben Pollock interview on YouTube & he comes across as a very likeable chap. Excited to play for us & sees us as a big club in this league.

You just absolutely LOVE to see it. Absolutely. Time to get all Wayne Lineker over finishing 10th in the Conference North.

Should have released him on a free & signed one of the many other goal scoring midfielders available for half his wages. Awful management tbh.

How many goals did our top goal scorer get? 12. From midfield. One behind Glen Taylor whoâs widely regarded as one of the best strikers in the division.

Anybody know why the club captain and other players didn't attend the end of season awards evening?
Makes you wonder why we bother having one. No problem with players who are leaving not attending, but you'd expect the club captain and most of the others to attend.

Just wondered why they booked to coincide with the awards night. I get it was the first week after the end of the play-offs. Just seems a bit daft to me. But hey no-one else seems fussed.

But hey no-one else seems fussed. Was a bit of a damp squib in that respect, which summed up how the season ended really. Maybe a bit of apathy. Never been such a low turnout of players before although the retained list was out early which didnât help there and can understand that the likes of Stanway and Williams might have wanted to avoid a gossipfest maybe. Although Wyll's mum and dad were there on his behalf for his award.
Fair play to the club staff involved and players who turned up though (Murray, Woodthorpe, Heywood, Tollitt and Daly) Calum only spoke just very briefly and Glendon sent a video message.

ÂŁ55 quid a ticket and only 5 first team players turn up - That is piss poor to be fair. Whether it was down to bad timing with holidays etc, it doesn't look good after a poor season, especially at a time when we're pushing for season ticket sales and boost the budget cash. Apparently, it's going to take #AllofUs, unless some of us can't be arsed.

Apparently, it's going to take #AllofUs, unless some of us can't be arsed. Not a massive surprise that it was a more lowkey affair, given there was nothing to really celebrate, but it was disappointing that so few players showed up, and that the ones who did left pretty quickly without striking up much conversation with the attendees. I think itâs a bit harsh to claim those who werenât there couldnât be arsed, because I think they were genuinely unavailable through being on holiday or other commitments, but it was pretty ignominious that most of the awards were unable to actually be presented to the recipients. A learning curve for next time, I suppose - whether it means booking an earlier date, or even asking the players to not jet off on their holidays until after the awards night. Bit disappointing that we didnât hear a huge amount from Cal either, and that we were unable to speak to him individually, but I realise it was ultimately an awards presentation and not a âmeet the managerâ event; he spent most of his time speaking to Stanwayâs parents, so make of that what you will! Iâve got a lot of sympathy for Albert, because it was the first big event heâs arranged, and he said that heâd had to organise it all virtually by himself, but I think there are lessons to be learned. Iâve been to the awards in the last two years, having never attended previously, and on both occasions Iâve got the similar impression - a decent atmosphere, and a nice opportunity to mix with other fans to toast the end of the season, but ultimately not all that memorable an event and not really worth the rather steep asking price. Probably wonât be going again unless we win something, or changes are made to make it better value for money.

The first three were amazing, the players couldn't socialise with you enough before, during and after the awards in the pubs in town. Those were at the same venue as Saturday as well.
Never forget 2017 either, Crowne Plaza that one, huge turnout despite the crap ending to the season because the players were desperate to slag McCarthy off to us all.

Absolute stalker behaviour. Genuinely weird. As for GG, heâs the scapegoat. Lad is trying his best whilst getting unacceptable abuse because he doesnât show #PASSION. Why canât grown men accept defeat without chucking vitriol about? Out of interest, what does he show? Right, I'll try and explain. I like his playing style; he's a good footballer and keeps the ball moving. He also is suited to a style of football that I'd rather see us play than hoofing it up the pitch. However, I understand lots of people disagree with that and don't think he's the right fit for us. What I don't like is the personal stuff. The 'Captain Fantastic' and the 'Marbella' jibes are unneeded and cause a reaction like he got today, which was shameful. IF we were talking about a mercenary or a poor professional like Lathaniel Rowe-Turner or Andy Halls then I'd 100% understand, but Glendon is clearly a hard worker and has been rated and made captain by every manager he has had at our club - are they all wrong but you are right? Where you are I are clearly different is that you rate Woodthorpe and Peers, where I feel they are both miles off it for a promotion-chasing team. However, they're clearly both hard-working lads and give their all each week . I'm a grown man, so therefore I don't need to start a crusade against them regardless of whether they're good enough. Like I say, I can disagree about players all day long but I really felt for GG today. He was absolutely nowhere near the worst player on the pitch - Jack Bainbridge, if you were wondering - but took the brunt of it. Cheering when he went off was absolutely embarrasing behaviour.

Far too balanced & level headed for DC, especially after a 4-0 shellacking.
