According to some Kiddy fans on twitter Willoughby was due to sign for them last night but we swooped in. Could be complete bollocks, but get the king announced please.

I get the feeling we might be seeing Kurt return going from the last few tweets from the club What convoluted train of thought allowed you to come to that conclusion? You were saying?

Definitely a game-changing signing. Just hope he doesn't have that "second spell" syndrome that's affected some others. Welcome back, Kurt!

Well well well that's welcoming. Interesting to see who gets the number 9 shirt. I assume it will be Kurt maybe even in his contract.

I'm going to stick my neck on the line here but I think with the squad Cal has assembled we have to be favourites surely. Incredible recruitment all over the pitch.

Unreal signing. We’ve got to be hopeful of challenging now. 25 goal a season strikers are pretty rare (as we found out last season). Can’t wait for it to all start.

On paper this is obviously a great signing. Knows how Cal likes to play, and has previously scored goals in that system. Doesn't always work out well 2nd time around, but lets hope the hunger is still there and he's got that desire to still prove himself. I would say this does now lump the pressure on Cal.....he's recruited really well and we've got bags of experience in all areas of the pitch, supplemented with younger players who will be wanting to impress and progress. If we aren't in a title race with that squad then you'd have to say that's on the manager for not getting the best out of them. What I like about Cal's recruitment is that he's bought in fellas that can talk too, proper leaders who will lead by example who can be important voices in the changing room and on the pitch. If it's not us and Scunthorpe in a title race then I'd be amazed. Think most of us have felt that the recruitment up until yesterday has been good, but the missing piece was that 20 goal a season strikers.... no excuses now.

A proven goal scorer was the last missing piece & I'm genuinely confident that we can now win the league this season. Really looking forward to it.

Fantastic signing, and the recruitment (on paper) this summer looks chalk and cheese compared to last year.
Kurt was loved by the fans here (probably more than anywhere else he's ever played), and as Gareth Southgate said "who doesn't want to be loved?". Let's hope he picks up where he left off; there were plenty of games where his finishing turned one point into three last time around.
