They have got their priorities right though, 500 immigrants arriving daily, freezing pensioners to death, removing the right of UK citizens to be first for a council house, undoing the Conservative upping of the care home threshold now cutting discounted rail cards for pensioners and others but they are concentrating on the important things like launching an investigation into the price of Oasis tickets, you couldn't make it up. And abolishing the 25% discount on council tax for single occupants. Every year this tax goes up and we get less for our money. You might as well say too that the police are a waste of time too.

Must admit the two things that always bemuse me, with all the "intelligence agencies" across Europe how nobody can see a pattern of rib purchases and secondly how come the migrants know where to catch the boats but the latest technology employed by these agencies can't find the launch site. With regard to arresting the pilot it is belief, stand to be corrected, that one of the migrants assumes the role of pilot. Yes I went to Storyhouse a few months ago and saw a film called I o Capitano (I am the Captain), which was about a 16 year-old migrant who steered this rickety boat from North Africa to an island off Italy. The Traffickers would never get on one of these boats. The traffickers are scummers, think everyone agrees on that. I tend to be sympathetic towards the migrants themselves. Imagine the UK and Ireland suddenly became unsafe for some reason and you had to leave, would you go to the "nearest safe country" (i.e. France) or would you bust a gut to get to the USA, Canada, Australia, NZ, somewhere that had the same language and a similar culture to us? I think we forget sometimes that we colonised a lot of Africa and Asia but coming from that way you'd have to get all the way across Europe before you find anywhere that speaks English. Also, I think a lot of them are misinformed and must be quite disappointed when they get here. Let's be honest, it's shite.

We have it to easy here, a lot of people aren't thankful for what they have.

Nah he’s right, this country is a shithole.
Shit in the rivers, a “cost of being alive” crisis, a crumbling health service, knife crime…

Yes, there are worse places to live, of course, but it has its problems and I'm not sure it's an upgrade on France, certainly not enough so to risk your life getting here. Obviously people want to get here because they speak the language or have family here, but I suspect a lot of them are just misled about how rosy things are going to be when they get here.

For the most part the UK is fine. I'm sure with Labour in charge now, we'll be plain sailing.

The people there, who have little, but were the kindest, most hospitable people I ever came across abroad. The place itself is beyond description.

I recently went to see John bishop at the arts centre near bank quay Warrington, was one of the worst areas I have been in. Loads sleeping in doorways and boarded up buildings.

From NHS website
Warrington has a population of 209,397 people. One of the biggest challenges facing Warrington is the inequalities caused by socio-economic deprivation and the impact this has on the health and wellbeing of individuals and communities. These inequalities are starkly demonstrated by the gap in life expectancy between the most and least deprived areas of the borough.
If Warrington were a village of 100 people:
14 adults live with depression 32 children are overweight or obese by year 6 64 adults are overweight or obese 11 people die from heart disease 25 adults are physically inactive 7 adults have diabetes 29 people die from cancer 8 adults are smokers 14 people live with at least two long-term conditions 79 is the average male life expectancy 82 is the average female life expectancy 9 people are aged 75+

Hate the way people use them. This is classic. None of the above mean anything. You've said nothing about the areas in Warrington. Probably the same stats in most area of the country.

Watching the Tories try and lie their way out of Partygate was just great entertainment in the end.

I have this theory that not a single person who complains about “illegal immigration” has ever had their life impacted by it. Not even in the slightest. It’s such a weird thing to just stay mad about all the time.

They just listen to a Irish man with a fake name who spends the money they give him on holidays abroad
