The kiosks are an absolute embarrassment. Not helping the matchday experience at all It's no better if not worse than last season, why won't anyone from the club respond? They have the legends lounge, they won't be arsed about the kiosks.

Have people considered that maybe no-one else has tendered to run the kiosks? Unless there's a choice of providers, the club is limited on what they can do.
It keeps being mentioned at cfu meetings, but as you say, nothing seems to change. If we had a decent offering I'd use them. Don't bother at the moment due to all the criticism. Not going to turn up then find I can't get anything to eat as they've run out

They’re really not that bad. I’m not sure what people are expecting from a football club snack kiosk. As far as the club is concerned they just want someone to deal with it so they don’t have to, which is completely understandable. It’s there as an option if you want something hot to eat, if not bring your own.

The price is OK for a footy ground. I’ve generally been able to get stuff and it’s been good quality I think for the last few years. The queues haven’t been too bad and are comparable to other footy grounds. Having said all that if there’s only one kiosk open for an entire stand that’s proper poor.

Just pies, perhaps a burger, or a hotdog at half time. Even that seems beyond the talents of the current incumbents, who are often out of hot food 15 minutes into the game. It's increasingly not 'there as an option if you want something hot to eat', which is surely the bare minimum we should be expecting?

I used to use the kiosks pretty religiously, but haven’t bothered in the last couple of years, and now just bring stuff from home every game. Never really had an issue with the quality of the food, but the two major gripes for me were (and, judging by everyone’s comments, probably still would be if I were to use the kiosks again) the price and the service.
The price might not be out of the ordinary for the standards of football grounds in general, but I think it is for non-league standards - most away grounds I’ve visited have offered better value, and often more varied, food and drink options. By all means, the Coward’s pies are nice, if we still do them, but I also liked the Hollands fayre we used to sell, and wouldn’t object to those returning if it would slash the prices by a couple of quid.
The service is/was an even greater issue - I’d inevitably be queuing for 20-25 minutes, meaning I’d miss part of the second half even if I immediately made a beeline for the kiosk at the start of half-time, only to be greeted by a an announcement that there was no hot food left. Staffing issues also seemed to be becoming increasingly common, as there’d often only be two people on duty - one taking orders and the other preparing. This is mostly based on my experiences in the northern half of the main stand, but when I’ve been on the Harry Mac, it’s been even worse.

Fair enough, I sit in the East Stand & rarely if ever have to queue at all & only once or twice have they run out of steak pies which is what I usually have.

The other thing that hasn’t been discussed in this thread - can people genuinely not go a couple of hours without hot food? You have dinner at 12/1pm and tea at 5.30/6pm. Do you need to also have a hot dog and a pie in-between? Fat bastards the lot of you!

Then again, only takes a quick glance around the ground and maybe I need to lower those expectations…

No problem. As Si says above, these rules clearly don't apply to bringing your own bottles in. Everyone should take their own food and drink in That would solve the problem of the kiosks Would take money out the club.

It's ridiculous. I bought a Fanta at the Brackley game and just before I'd got to the kiosk one of the stewards had come in to make sure the staff were taking the lids off. It's not easy to take them off as they have been designed to stay on, so clearly the H&S guidelines are now outdated. I felt sorry for them having to constantly wrestle with plastic lids, and there's no doubt it had a knock on effect with the queue. Last 2 games I've taken my own bottle in and put it in my pocket walking in, problem solved but the kiosks lose out on a few quid off me, and I can still nip to the toilets and fill my Pepsi with the lid on and launch it at the ref if I like. I don't get this whole joined plastic bottle top thing. It just seems like Coca-Cola and other companies giving themselves a pat on the back for their environmental efforts when actually they're doing nothing. Wouldn't most people recycle the lid and bottle together anyway? Seems odd that you would put one in the recycling and not the other. And doesn't it use even more plastic to create the bit that keeps the top attached to the bottle. If they're really bothered about the planet, maybe they should stop using so much plastic? Recycling plastic is inefficient, with some studies saying as little as 5% of it actually gets reused. Plus we're all ingesting too much plastic in the food and drink we consume. It’s an EU directive that makes it mandatory. A lot of drinks companies are multinational and there would be added costs to make detachable caps for the UK market only so we get the crap caps as well It’s for recycling reasons but a lot of drinks companies use black plastic caps and black plastic is non-recyclable 🤷🏻♂️

Do you need to also have a hot dog and a pie in-between? Fat bastards the lot of you! We're in the entertainment industry, and providing hot and cold snacks are the norm. Same as if you went to the cinema or Blue Planet aquarium etc. I'm more than happy to go for a couple of hours without a pie, but the option should at least be there, and if we are doing hot food then we should be doing it better. I haven't even got much gripes about the quality of the food to be honest, I think the pies and hot dogs are fine but it's the fact that they run out before half time or there's massive queues so you miss chunks of the game. Lets face it, we've never managed to do it well at the Deva, it just isn't set up right for it - we badly needed concourses like Telford to give us the room to do it properly rather than shitty little areas in the corner of the ground.

I've always been open minded to the idea that there might be benefits of being outside the EU, but all it actually seems to be about is gloating at foreigners and continuing to moan about EU directives, even though we don't have to follow them anymore.
Sorry, politics again, I know.

Not been back since the grifters tried to charge me 10p for a sachet of shite ketchup to go with an overpriced Rollover hot dog.
For me, one of the benefits of this level when travelling away is experiencing the surprisingly good catering at some grounds.
I do think the club falls down quite badly on this - hardly screams community football club to have such a generic, overpriced offering with pretty poor service to go with it.
