Great news, although if I was being cynical I would ask what the reason is behind moving this "guinea pig" bubble free game to a Friday night!

It will be good to have a full crowd under the lights, maybe with it being on a Friday it give us an opportunity to be televised. I Just hope that fans "on both sides" behave themselves. NWP and CP will love nothing more than to get this bubbled up again.

I would still make both games all ticket.

Great news but there are clearly big questions over whether the idiots who have caused trouble at previous games (Wrexham or otherwise) can control themselves.

I'm amazed that this is on a Friday night. I imagine plenty are booking that day off work and hitting the pubs early doors. I think it will make for a great atmosphere on a Friday night though, but can't help feel like Cheshire's finest are setting it up for trouble just so they have an excuse to go back to the bubble. I felt that if the bubble was lifted then they'd have put it down for a midday KO on Saturday/Sunday, so this is a pleasant surprise.

Guessing the fact it's Remembrance Sunday that weekend may have helped ensure it wasn't played at noon on a Sunday as it was pre-bubble - no way would they allow rival fans to go through the city centre at the same time as big numbers turn out for the Remembrance events.

On the Saturday, there's a massive beer festival taking place at Chester Races, which probably isn't an ideal thing to clash with the derby! I noticed that when the fixtures came out, but decided not to mention it as I thought if word got around it would be the perfect excuse for a Sunday noon kick off. Didn't realise it would be Remembrance Day though.

Possibility maybe of live TV on the Friday.

The Police want it to "kick off" so they can justify bringing back the bubble. Should have been a noon kick off.

Fantastic news, all we need now is everyone to attempt to behave because we don't want this excellent fixture to go downhill again. We want it to remain as exciting as it has been in the past.

I would still make both games all ticket. Agreed, and sit in the allocated seat.

I would still make both games all ticket. I think it is all ticket. I hate the bubble personally but it does worry me that the usual minority of morons on both sides will spoil this one and the Wrexham away game will be back to a bubble.

The fact that it is not a bubble for the first game which is at our place but still remaining 'all ticket' shouldn't affect Chester fans, nothing has changed for us. It will be Wrexham fans who will be under the spotlight. If any gain access to Chester areas of the Deva and cause trouble then it will be back to being a bubble fixture for the away game. There will still be a huge Police presence, especially at the railway station. I just hope the Sam Hughes money isn't paying for it. If there is any left that is

I hope not, I enjoyed the special train put on in the past where I can go to Wrexham in my stone island gear to be met by lots of police who escort us to the ground whilst we give it large shouting ingerlund and even giving the V's to the locals. Might even break a seat again. There's no stopping us on derby day, if only we could get there some other way we'd show em

Really happy with this.
However, can't help but think that bumpers lane will be an absolute war zone on a dark night. Hope it goes off without the cretins from both sides causing havoc. I predict a bubble back at our place after this though unfortunately.

Whilst the bubble must go down as one of Cheshire/NWP biggest overreactions of all time , and its lifting is most welcome , this is a very strange decision from Cheshire Plod. Remember this is the lot who said they couldn’t police a derby match in the dark and every year have justified their bubble stance on the basis that otherwise Armageddon would result. Now we have a 7.45 pm on a Friday night in November! just hope this isn’t a very cynical move on their part, particularly as it gives plenty of opportunity for goat idiots to cause trouble in Chester city centre etc , given the distance of the ground from railway station. As the first bubble free game, and I accept this may not be popular, couldn't it have been put back to mid week if not possible to play at 2.00pm on the sunday ?

It's difficult not to treat this decision without cynicism, especially as it is an evening game. My feeling is that the yobs from both sides, who probably attend one match a year, will turn out in force to cause trouble, and the Poloce will then feel justified in reinstating the bubble.

Like that is going to happen!! The police know what they are doing, make it a Friday night, plenty of time for both sets of supporters to be on the ale. Ale + wrexham v Chester = disaster. The bubble will be back on for good before we know it.

We played tranmere on a Friday night last year and it went off with minimal disruption, I think from the papers a coupe from both clubs got arrested, not bad as they have as many lunatics as Wrexham have. My point on this is that I think both cp and nwp have learned a lot over the last 2 years as to how Merseyside police handle potentially high risk fixtures and they now have a better understanding of how to stop potential trouble before it happens yes we will still have the nuggets who want to cause trouble but so long as they employ the tactics they used with the help of Merseyside police for the Tranmere game then I believe we will be ok

They are used to large scale football matches and know how to police them, unlike nwp and cp.... if only we could do that 😩

I am not moaning it's great that it's a Friday and I and a few mates are doing the same taking the day off few beers in town and enjoy a good derby game with a good atmosphere . Am just saying I think our police have learned off Merseyside police I have loved the games at tranmere the fan zone thing they have has been excellent, beer is a bit expensive for what it is but it's well run a good atmosphere and no fear of trouble and I do think we should do something similar for certain games to make money.

Wrexham fans will be coming in the day, bus taxi, cars, hiding in handbridge pubs, pubs down the river, sneaking across the suspension bridge, comming through farndon and huntington, then mobbing up at a chosen point, there is no way the return fixture will be bubble free after the first fixture.
