This is dreadful - no shape, no tactic and sat as deep as can be physically possible. McCarthy turning around and having a go at the crowd. How can this be allowed to continue? Too many directors there just for a picture on the pitch at half time, rather than to make decisions in the best interest of this football club. 1600 tells you everything you need to know about the feeling associated with this football club. That includes a 150 or so from Sutton as well.

In fairness to the comments above, if anyone had someone telling them to f*ck off and calling them useless I'm fairly sure you'd have a word back. Seeing some of drama queen comments from people not even here is cringe previously in thread. |

Let's not kid ourselves. Before 2-2 Sutton should have been out of sight, the lads did well to dig in and get it back but unfortunately all eyes are on the manager. The results and more worryingly the performances have stuck since February.

Absolutely gutted leaving the match. First half was possibly the worst half I have ever seen a Chester side play. The disallowed goal was the turning point, it seemed to trigger us off and we were unlucky in the end not to get anything from that match.
Dawson man of the match for me.

I'm no so much gutted as pi**ed off! First half was a shambles. How Sutton werent away and gone is beyond me. We somehow managed to get back into it and then it was the same old Chester dropping off deep. This manager has a lot to ask for but I would be a pound to a pinch of salt he comes out with how unlucky we were. If we had any sort of tactics other than dropping off and deep in the first half we would have been better. And why do we leave no on up when they have a corner. 11 players in our own box! Annoyed doesn't cover it right now. |

I know Hannah going off injured didn't help, I know we did well to fight back to 2-2 and if you were to take this game in isolation you'd curse your luck on the day and move on.
However, today was just more of what we've come to expect from a McCarthy Chester side. Coming up short, not doing enough to win games, resorting to hoofball far too easily etc.
There's definitely positives to take from today but you have to look at the bigger picture here - going back to Christmas at least. This manager is taking us down.
