It's a no from me - for now I thought he should have gone last season and I honestly don't think he will turn it round but to be fair to the man he should be given ten games. Don't expect anything on Saturday but Macclesfield, Torquay and Solihull coming up. Two wins and a draw or else it's time for a change. New squad, clean slate - I am judging him solely on this season and it's too early to sack him. Apart from anything sends a very poor message. Ultimately home attendances will be the decider, not some of the hysterical stuff on here. Also don't think the squad is quite as good as some think. What was going on for that third goal and why don't defenders close down better on the edge of our box? This is basics, not poor coaching.

I think the board are probably desperate for stability and as such are showing too much patience. I admire the intentions to be patient and we should always aim for stability but you have to also know when to pull the plug and I think after Saturday that was the final straw for many people. A week or two ago there was a vote on here which I believe was in favour of keeping him, but this vote shows to me that after Saturday's result the majority can see there is unlikely to be an improvement. In order to improve you need to accept your weaknesses first and JM seems to think we're on the right track - this is exactly why its time to part company as he is not seeing what 99% of others are seeing. What surprises me is that this is a guy who used to be a winger, and played at a bloody good level - surely he wouldn't have wanted to have played in a team with such negative tactics?!

What surprises me is that this is a guy who used to be a winger, and played at a bloody good level - surely he wouldn't have wanted to have played in a team with such negative tactics?! In his warped mind of tactical thinking, I believe he thinks that as long as we don't get beat, he can justify the result. We were getting hammered most weeks towards the end of last season, so he's obviously decided that by shutting up shop that won't happen this season. He clearly thinks that he can build on this as the season goes on, but he's building on quick sand. The players cannot play in this negative way - it goes against their instincts as footballers and the only reason we haven't lost more than once so far is due to the woodwork at Hartlepool and the equally negative mindset Halifax brought with them. The only differentiation to the outcome each week is the quality of the opposition, nothing to do with us. Look at where those three teams are in the table this morning, bearing in mind that people were talking all of them up around the time we played them. I think you are right on the board though and that's why I think he will be given at least the 10 games. Macclesfield, Torquay and Solihull are three games where you would expect a minimum of 6 points, hopefully more, if we are to stay in this division - nevermind compete in it. What worries me, though, is this desire to keep hanging on and delaying the inevitable. If he wins one game of football, it doesn't suddenly mean he's up to the job. He is going to have to go on an exceptional run of form over the next half season to convince his many, many doubters that he is up to the job. The law of averages suggests that, whatever his approach, we will eventually win a game of football. This idea that this season is a clean slate would apply if the same issues weren't apparent that were for the whole of the second half of last season. The one constant is JM and his tactical approach. He has said he isn't going to change that, he's lost his relationship with the majority of the fan base and attendances are plummeting. There can be only one outcome.

This reminds me of Youngs first season in the conference. We are setting up the same way. We'll grind out draws and the odd win, even against the best teams in the league but it won't put enough points on the board.
10 games, and if it continues we will have to make a change. McCarthy is an asset to the club and he'll need to move sideways and work with/under somebody more experienced.

I initially thought 10 games we could be cast adrift by then. It's in my opinion best to act now in order that whoever comes in doesn't have a monumental task on their hands. It will be very disappointing if some sort of announcement isn't made today.

I think the board have to act now. There are some winnable games in the next few weeks and with a new, more positive approach we could gain a little momentum and kick on.
As has been said, JM is too happy to draw games and that will get us relegated.

Gut reaction after a defeat is time to change but at this stage in a new season it would be wrong. If we can't win after another 3 games then he will be tinkering on the brink and if it gets to ten games in I would think he would do the honorable thing and go. Then there would be no compensation.

If that is true and it festers until we are cast adrift, and too far behind to catch up, then the board will be wholly responsible for destroying the club. Sick of reading about the naughty boycotters, as stated by the haughty arse lickers.

When people talk of boycotts, who are they boycotting against? Fellow fans who believe they're doing their best for the club.
Unfortunately the board do need to take into account the huge feeling from the fan base that JM cannot remain as 1st team manager. I believe to call an EGM with a motion of no confidence in JM would take a significant proportion of the CFU to back the proposal. I think this needs to seriously be considered if the board are not prepared to act now.

Unfortunately the board do need to take into account the huge feeling from the fan base that JM cannot remain as 1st team manager. I believe to call an EGM with a motion of no confidence in JM would take a significant proportion of the CFA to back the proposal. I think this needs to seriously be considered if the board are not prepared to act now.
Just done a little research and to call a special general meeting with a motion of no confidence in the 1st team manager would take the backing of at least 20 members or 5% of the membership whichever is greater. Anyone know what our current membership level is at the moment? 1000? 1500? Would mean nearly 50-100 CFU members getting together. It would then need the backing by show of hands of at least 75% of members who attend the meeting (within 28 days) to carry the motion.
Just a thought, but unlike other FC's this is our club and we ultimately have the power to do something even if the board are unwilling.
It's up to us folks.....
