I was in Fort William earlier this year and took a walk down to Craggan Park home of Fort William FC. It is the most picturesque ground in Britain with Ben Nevis as a backdrop. I noticed years ago that they don't do very well. Last season their record was P34 W0 D5 L29. They also conceded nearly 200 goals. They did have season about 3 years ago when they won 8 games and finished about 7th from bottom. Their problem seems to be that everyone plays shinty there. It came out of the club last season that they were going to withdraw from the Highland League and pack in due to lack of volunteers. That however has not happened and they started this season with an 11-1 defeat. They followed that up with another 11-1 defeat at home. Last night they only lost 6-0, so they are improving. They soldier on, but I wonder how long those poor boys can take such hammerings.

They'd still beaten us last season Afraid not. I guess the level that they play at is Roodee level. Been to a few Highland League games over the years whilst on holiday in Scotland including Wednesday night to watch Nairn County get beat 4-1 at home by Wick Academy.
The best teams would be bottom half of Norther Premier Division One standard whilst the worst would be bottom half of North West Counties Division One. Hence you get some big scores.
Wick were excellent the other night but Nairn were woeful and the score line flattered them.
Feel very sorry for Fort William and the people that keep them going deserve the utmost respect.

I think the kindest thing would be to put them out of their misery.

Lost 10 Nil at home yesterday, that's 38 goals shipped in just 4 games.
Sort of puts life into perspective really.

Fort William are now on -9 pts after a 9 point deduction for playing an ineligible player in three games. They host Strathspay Thistle tonight who are on 0 pts.

We need an away pre season friendly there next season. Fancy a trip to the highlands and Iโve spent the evening actively checking the scores of a team Iโve never heard of before this thread. Deva chat is amazing sometimes! Banksy, make this away dream tie happen next season

In reality a team that has conceded 57 goals in just 7 games, have gained more points in the last three weeks than us.
