Andy Holden for me, stand out candidate, head and shoulders above any of the others bar Graham Barrow who I don't believe we could afford due to his current job at Chesterfield. Andy is an ex player/legend, local lad, great coach and successful manager at Everton youth and with Hibs as assistant manager. He has a history of coaching young kids through to make the step up to first team. UEFA qualified coach and a born winner, strong, powerful and a manager the players should have a lot of respect due to his previous record in football.

Not Barrow, his day has long gone. How about Burr?

Wouldn't mind seeing the famous faded red cap popping out of the dugout...

We need someone who loves the club and has managed at a higher level to get everyone excited and want to go to the matches. Also, someone who wont take nothing less than 100% and will expect the players to run through walls.
For me it can only be Graham Barrow. C'mon Graham it's your fault I support this club after supporting that promotion winning side so you owe me and probably many others.

Not Barrow, his day has long gone. How about Burr? Is this a wind-up?. He was recently Assistant Manager at Wigan and has managed at Conference level before and is vastly experienced. Get him in.

Barrow would be good but how long ago was his last manager's job? We're a very different club to the one he last managed. Also not a chance he's leaving a good job to risk it being a manager (again). Holden is my pick unless someone like Westley wants it, cannot see it though. All of these southern managers won't relocate for the wages and budget we're offering.

Graham Westley? You must be joking. When it comes to narcissistic arrogance he makes McCarthy look like an amateur. Tried to do to Preston what McCarthy tried at Chester. We need someone with total commitment to the club, not themselves.

Before people say I'm in dreamland I know I'm being Very very very optimistic but just a little dream - john Coleman would be ideal ! Can't be working on a big budget at Accrington , been there on and off for years so might fancy a change and I would say we are a bigger club than them . Remember a year or 2 ago he was saying how disappointed he was with the attendances when they were in playoff places .close to his roots in Liverpool and worked wonders at southport in the 6 months he was there a couple years ago playing attractive football .

Everyone keeps saying Holden but I honestly don't think he would come here, going off an interview when he first became flint manager he wanted to go back to the club he started at and it sounded like he may be making this his last club to

I think you should go for Kevin wilkin. Don't think he got long enough with us. He's done well before and since being with us. He would probably jump at the chance of going full time again as well.

Totally Agree. Has brackley at the top of the NLN against teams like salford, stockport york southport. Was suprised when you let him go, I'd have him all day.

Graham Barrow for me. Well respected throughout the game and should be able to get the most out of what's a half decent squad.
The players have to take their responsibility in all of this, it's not all McCarthy. Whoever comes in next has a difficult job getting these players to step up.
Rumors of disruptive players last year, maybe McCarthy didn't get rid of all the bad apples?

I don't really fancy anyone returning, especially someone with a reputation like Barrow's with us. He's a legend in most eyes, so to come back and try to mop up a mess could tarnish that if he can't get things done. At the end of the day, we have no wide men, no fit strikers and 1 fit centre back with any experience. Not an easy fix.

They can go for nothing if they get fixed up elsewhere where they can't do us any harm. I'd be tempted to tell Dawson to shape up or ship out as well - really don't see the fascination some have with him at all. We can bring in a centre back with the money brought in from getting shot of LRT, and we can bring in a couple of loan signings - preferably wingers to replace the other 3. We then have the basis of a decent side.

Rumors of disruptive players last year, maybe McCarthy didn't get rid of all the bad apples? I suspect that he just wasn't capable of dealing with them after Sharps left. Durrell posted on Twitter recently that the "disruption" was him being passionate & wanting to win every game. Two sides to every story though of course.

Barrow, we have the players to get results, we need someone like him who served as captain under the late great Harry McNally to give them the kick up the arse that they need. He got us promoted from the equivalent of league two before too.

My heart goes with one of my all time Heroes Graham Barrow. But he has a half decent job currently. Andy Holden would walk through a wall for this club. He also ticks the boxes for me. The list above has some good names on it, but I'd like to see somebody who is willing to graft and earn bonuses ect rather than just seeing a nice big fat cash cow waiting to be milked.
